Palazzo del Papa

Wonderful, caring host, sparkling clean room, and the most comfortable bed in Italy. Hamza was a charming host who went above/beyond to take care of us, even arranging a place to leave our luggage before he arrived! His dining recommendations were spot on as well. All this in a great location!

Fantastic place! Hamza was incredible with his help, attention and service. The location is steps from the main square with restaurants, shops, etc. literally outside your door. All of this with being very quiet when you are inside. Nice room with a very nice common are that included all of the amenities. I will definitely stay here again.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough! If I could give 6 or 10 stars I would! The location is great - Hamza is amazing and the place is adorable, clean, and perfectly furnished. I can’t wait to go back!

Hamza greeted us at the door and made us feel so welcome and comfortable after a hard day of travel. The hotel only has a few rooms and is in a converted apartment building so no sign is outside the entrance door. Our cab driver helped us find the name next a button on the left side of the door that had the number above it that matched the address in the website. Hamza went above and beyond helping us get a very early taxi the next morning when the buses were on strike and it worked out perfectly. Our room looked very new and modern and was extremely clean, comfortable and roomy. Hamza was also very helpful giving us suggestions for restaurants nearby. The location was perfect, right next to Il Campo and we would love to come back and stay longer.

Perfect Location and Host! The room was immaculate (and I am picky!) and had everything we needed and the absolute perfect location, could see Piazza Il Campo from our room, loved having the window open, but at night with it closed couldn't hear a thing which was perfect for getting a restful night's sleep. Hamza was an amazing host with spot on recommendations and couldn't have been more accomodating or kind. This was by far one of our very best experiences in Tuscany. Would go back in a heartbeat!

This is a fabulous place to stay in Siena! Hamza is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The rooms are extremely clean and the apartment is 100 meters from Il Campo. It is a perfect location to visit a wonderful city. 5 out of 5 stars. Grazie Mille Hamza! We hope to see you again soon.

If you ever go to Siena and need a place to stay. Look no further. Palazzo del Papa is the spot. It’s located beautiful next to the main square. The host Hamza meet you with the largest smile and the best service. Beautiful room, nice and clean, with everything you need. He also has a nice selection of wines and water in his lobby. He help you with reservations in restuants etc;) I will recommend it very highly

We paid a very high premium to stay at this location during the Palio race and doing so was a mistake. The road where the place is located is closed for some hours before the Palio race because the Palio parade uses this road. We were unable to return to the room during this time, even though we needed badly to go to the room. There was no blanket on the bed, only a sheet, and there was no blanket in the room for us to choose to use. The toilet paper ran out and there was no extra roll in the room. There is a step down from the bathroom to the bedroom, which is hard to see at night with no night light. Most hotels, at this price, include some sort of breakfast in Siena. Hamza's service was excellent, for sure. It is a bad location for the Palio and definitely not worth the premium price.

We were extremely fortunate to visit Siena during the Palio, and we stayed here, immediately adjacent to il campo. Our host, Hamza, is absolutely the best! He goes above and beyond to make your experience perfect. The rooms are well-designed, comfortable, and very clean. Everything is modern and sleek. I cannot imagine a stay nearly as enjoyable without his hospitality. He also had some great recommendations for local dinners. This small guest house is in THE best possible location to explore the town. You will have a wonderful stay here, I’m sure.
