I 100% recommend Golden Butterfly Villa. My mom and i stayed there for 3 nights and i must say the room was clean, tidy but a little bit small. 5min walk from beer street. The personal was so so so nice and helpful. 10 out of 10

The good things were the pool, outside area, food, drinks, service and rhe fact it was cheap. Great sociable place to meet other interesting people. The bad things were the beds were not comfy and pillows lumpy and old, the shower didn't stay hot for long in the 4 bed dorm, just enough for one person to have a hot shower, saw cockroaches in the bathroom of dorm, and with no door between bathroom sink area and room - it was right there. Maybe the private rooms are better.

My stay at Golden Butterfly Villa was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the warmth and hospitality was apparent. It was evident that there was a great emphasis on maintaining the highest level of hygiene throughout the establishment. To top it off, the price was extremely reasonable considering the quality of accommodation, service, and amenities provided. Gold Butterfly Villa truly went above and beyond in delivering an unrivaled hospitality experience, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. In summary, our stay at Golden Butterfly Villa was exceptional in every aspect. Old shabby hotel. Staff are friendly but trying to upsell various tours with this “Discount just for you,” had a distasteful vibe like being at a timeshare presentation. The, “Where are you going,” or “What are you doing?” or “Welcome back to the hotel,” over and over again was creepy and unnerving. The welcome snack was nice, but also having to endure the long rehe****d go on a tour pressured sales pitch and painfully uncomfortable diatribe about the mostly useless information, was too much.

Overall our experience was pretty good in siem reap. The hotel is situated in a small alley right next to another hotel (it’s not sketchy or anything) and right next door to an elementary school. When we checked in they gave us complimentary drinks and a snack! It was delicious. The staff were incredibly friendly and always makes chit chat when they see you come or go. They gave us a room on the opposite side away from the school so it wouldnt be loud. Unfortunately from this side we hear the clubs and karaoke instead! It wasn’t loud at all, but sensitive sleepers (like my husband) can have a hard time with this. They have free bikes you can borrow for the day! There’s also free coffee and tea in the lobby. They do a great job in customer service to make up for the unfortunate location which I think pays off. The room is comfortable and spacious. The bathroom has stone floors and the shower is interesting because it’s just an elevated platform, no lip and anything to keep water from spilling. I think the shower is on a small small slope so the water always went towards the drain, but kicking out and splashing with your feet out onto the bathroom floor is always a possibility.

Hotel was in a good location, and staff were friendly. There is a school outside that is very loud, they do warn you though.

Good location, near night markets, pub streets and many restuarants, As the place just reopemed, staffs are young and inexperienced but always smile and friendly, no tv connected at room and water for shower is not hot, but it is acceptable for me with the price paid, i extend my stay for one more night
