With views of the Wasini Channel, Cottages at Shimoni Reef Lodge are set around a pool surrounded by tamarind and baobab trees. The open-plan area includes a lounge and an outdoor deck, while en-suite bathrooms are standard.
Guests can enjoy a series of activities from diving and snorkelling, to traditional sailing trips on Kenyan dhows. They can also unwind at the on-site spa and wellness centre.

What a wonderful place to stay even in the low season. All the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and with everything I could have needed. The meals were excellent and really tasty. The fish was cooked beautifully, the breakfast was larger and very tasty.

Don’t assume that having a confirmed booking at this lodging will mean that they will have a room for you ! Extremely disappointing to be turned away after 4 hour journey . From what we saw of the place not sure it’s worth the drive. Avoid . Be warned !

I went with Kenyan friends for a few dives at the marine park, using the lodge as a base. A bit hard to find but ask the locals or use google map not that difficult. Its basic but cosy and staff are very friendly. Nice chalet style rooms and a pool, good bar and restaurant. A/C in the room. shower water a bit saline (well you wanted a spa!). Jonathan the manager is a great and knowledgeable host. Cold beer wines and spirits.

Shimoni Reef Lodge es un magnífico hotel,ubicado en un lugar ideal,sobretodo si eres amante del snorkel o huyes de lugares muy masificados por el turismo. Aunque el hotel necesita algunas mejoras,como más presión de agua en las duchas o renovación de sabanas,cabe destacar su limpieza y sobretodo la amabilidad y dedicación que ofrecen sus empleados. Hemos estado 4 noches, y el servicio ofrecido es excelente..resaltando la profesionalidad y prudencia de los camareros,la exquisita y abundante comida que nos ofreció el chef cada día así como la amabilidad del personal de recepción,piscina y limpieza. Shimoni Reef Lodge,es recomendable 100 por 100.
