Well after reading all the lovely reviews on here, i can only assume the honest reviews are removed or people have very low expectations of what a 5 star hotel should be like. On approach to this hotel, we were convinced it was derelict. Only partly true though. Huge parts of this hotel are derelict. The many water features are dry dirt collectors. The beach bars that are derelict and falling apart should be removed as they are dangerous. The main bar in reception has very few tables and chairs and the drinks are limited unless you want to pay extra. No where in the hotel offers bottles of water apart from reception that have to be ordered to your room. The only drinks offered in the room are tea coffee water. No all inclusive mini bar of even soft drinks. Even the onsite shop does not contain one single drink or bottle of water. Food in the day is all at the main buffet. (Six floor away from the pool and beach area) The only option by the pool until it runs out are rolls with salad and cheese if they have it. There is another restaurant offering food from midday but you have to pay for this. The food is honestly apalling mostly apart from the omlette & pasta station. Food is stored in the tiny buffet restaurant in bain maries and the staff bringing and taking the metal trays containing food with bare hands (which means none of it is hot) both me and my partner suffered food poisening along with a few others who we spoke to. We reported it to the hotel and they basically said we were the only ones, which we knew was a complete lie. We paid extra for a superior sea view room. All the rooms are the same so its a con. The “A la carte” restaurants that are “incuded in your all inclusive deal only have a couple of items on the menu that arre included. You have to pay for anything nice. The plastic cups used at the beach are dirty, chipped & cracked. We were served beer from the slop bucket. When we arrived at our room there were no robes (as included) the cleaner then knocked on the door with the robes and expected to be paid a tip. Why not just have them in the room already unless its just a scam for a tip? The safe was broken in our room and it was the same with the person who came to fix it. He wanted a tip for foxing the broken safe. This half dereluct hotel was probably 5 star when it was built but its in desperate need of a makeover and in addition they need lessons in food hygiene in order to keep people safe & well, in addition to the holiday companies explaining to them what all inclusive should actually include. We went for christmas for a week and paid a small fortune. We were very unwell and would honestly rate this hotel as max 2 to 3 star. The staff are nice and the beach is lovely along with the weather. The food is the worse thing which resulted in expensive taxis and restaurants to avoid being ill. I have been to Sharm many times and this is by far the worse & most expensive hotel ive stayed in.
