Palma Rima Hotel

The hotel is located in prime location but nothing look like the pictures. The room we had the Superior you need to purchase use of fan and AC separate. So yeah will never stay again.

The bungalow is large with comfy beds and a big bathroom. The pool was clean and large. The breakfast buffé was nice. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. I felt very safe the hotel have night sequrity staff. The hotel have a nice bar in the night time with nice music and drinks.

Been here many times as great location. this hotel is out dated, it needs great work attention and clean up. Plus where is modou m.bake the top security, the happiest helpful friendly man .?? MBake was palma rima he should be management, he helped us out so many times . I dropped my purse with 12,000.00 in it modou handed it to me,yet he was paid peanuts. My friend lost her credit card guess who found it and handed it back to us modou mbake. He had great ideas for palma rima too,sadly we won't be back none of us,all 6 of us Ron Carol Helen Katie John and Hamilton modou mbake made our holiday just a lot better with jokes laughter and honesty. Management lost a real honest man and hard worker a real Gem. Where are you modou ?,what hotel? I met other people who asked the same thing at the beach, plane and restaurants. We hope he's OK.. Any one know where he is full us in pls.

I've been to this hotel a few times and others in the Gambia 🇬🇲, always enjoyed myself I do know several people in Gambia 🇬🇲 in the past my own family have also been there it still needs a bit of attention here and there. The staff all round are excellent even though the chambermaids want to marry me off, I will return there again next year was there for 3 weeks 23/January and good to see 👀 same tourists as well, breakfast still needs to be looked at I'm a chef 👨‍🍳 but does suit me. Pillows were filthy, bungalow was tidy, but basic, we paid £2500 for a couple with bed and breakfast. Sadly breakfast was just rubber omelette, or pancake, fake sausage, you had to beg to a miserable server for a poached , fried, scrambled or hard boiled eggs. Toast was holy and poor quality bread. Even “fresh fruit” was poor quality. Way past their best before date. As was the tiny square bits of cheese and what they advertised as ham was actually corned beef but left out . No temperature controls so any food hygiene issues would be there

The location of the Palma Rima is excellent and the bungalows are a good size and in nice grounds. The staff are all excellent particularly the reception staff and money exchange (safe) man (Buba Demba) and all of the security and cleaning/maintenance staff who we had most dealings with. The breakfast is not the best however with limited choice. We also never ate or drank in the hotel due to the cost.

Well this was the 3rd and last time here unless it drastically improves.we were b&b in a bungalow. Its advertised with TUI and the hotel and there are old photos on both websites that it has entertainment and a night club and a shop which were both closed we were there 2 weeks and only once was there water polo and Tuesdays in the afternoon drummers that was it no aqua aerobics nothing there was no music to speak of and no entertainment in the evening as advertised .breakfast was shocking chopped up tinned hotdogs that was your sausage. Waiting ages for food as they never had enough and usually cold Not enough choice and supposedly buffet but staff served you . the bungalow are shabby and out dated .outside the hotel there is a new dual carriage way being build dust everywhere in the hotel over the trees and plants paths it was settling in the bottom of the pool too .cleaners were doing their best to keep it down.hose pipes should of been used on the vegetation to clear off the dust fridge at £53 for the 2 weeks and A/C at £ 12.50 per day there are hotels being built up the road being built now so we will see what they offer . Noisy at night until 3 am when the night clubs close .food outside in the many eateries is half the price of the bar food and 100% better .there were quite a few bungalows furthest away from the pool were unoccupied and derelict the place needs knocking down and starting again

Tired out dated un cared for less than basic don't waste your money the owner really needs to put the money he's charging back into the hotel . Only good points staff lovely room cleaned and comfortable beds. But everything else pool dirty and cracked and broken tiles someone actually cut their foot while we were there linen threadbare bathroom shower eventually got hot but a trickle of water when the toilet was flushed it made a loud noise for at least 5 min.gardens are not maintained. Breakfast basic but nice cup of tea.

Arrived late on Chris**as Eve. Room although seemed clean very, very dated. Bedding smelled fresh & clean so, we were ok with what we paid. However there was no hot water that night & the following day. We were constantly being told it was being fixed. Into another day and promised the water would be fixed, but wasn’t. It took a lot of shouting and waiting around that we insisted we had another room, eventually we were moved to a bungalow which was a lot nicer. Other people were also complaining about water, so it looks like it’s a regular thing. The morning after our arrival, after having a look around in day light, the pool was green & disgusting. They did clean the bottom after complaining, but we were not going to us as I didn’t think it was safe and clean enough. We only had bed & breakfast, that was basic, but always something to eat. Definitely wouldn’t stay again & would not recommend.
