I am really shocked. In the evening the restaurant next door plays really loud music. It is super noisy. Everyone is yelling, drinking and dancing downstairs. I did not expect this. I wanted to relax. I need peace and quiet. This noise lasts from 7-11 pm every day. It is terrible. Closed doors do not help. The noise is so loud. I was here only one night because my nerves are more important.

Location was perfect right in front of the beach. Big bathtub next to the spacious balcony. But the room was full of dust, on top of the soaps and so on like it was cleaned and close for long time. The wall behind the bed was dirty because of humidity. Nice stay anyways comparing with the average of houhuai but it could improve.

Great stay. Helpful staff. The room was clean and in good condition. This guesthouse has sea views and you can step out onto the beach from the first floor.

The picture of the room showed a beach view. The view was of the building next door under construction which was very loud while I was on a working vacation. The room had mosquitos in that bit me up pretty well. There was mold in bathroom. Arriving to the hotel at 1 in the morning was a challenge, walking into the area. I arrived at my pin using my phone’s gps. There weren’t signs in English. I called the hotel and no one answered. A friendly, English speaking local helped me find the hotel, which is tucked in behind other buildings and you must walk through a very narrow alley to reach it. The manager had to be woken up. He didn’t speak English, and there was no other staff available. We had to communicate through WeChat, which is fine. I wish Trip.com would have alerted me of the construction. I would have booked at a different area. If your looking for a dive hotel close to the beach, and you’re Chinese is good, then go for it. But there are nicer places for the same amount of money.

Very amazing view , except the loud music from the night clubs downstairs on the beach, but they stop the music at 11:00 pm which is not a big problem, but the place is highly recommended

The location was very central although the entrance was down a small alley so not so easy to find, but once there all was good and out of the alley we were right in the middle of the main road. The room we chose didn’t have sea view so our windows faced a construction site, not great visually but we closed the curtains and it was ok, not noisy. The bed was comfy and all the towels and soaps and bathroom toiletries were there and the cleaners would come each morning for a quick clean of the room. Check in and check out went smoothly, although the lady at the front desk wasn’t the most organised. If you cannot find another spot at better places in the village than this will do and it will be comfy although it would not be my very first choice next time.

A little expensive for what you get. No beach towels were provided. Shampoo and conditioner were half used little bottles. The toilet didn’t flush properly. The location view was great!

I think one of the best hotels in Houhai, it’s perfect to enjoy the beach, the party at night, see fireworks… will book again in future

Perfect location and a perfectly adequate room. However, the welcome from the man at the front desk was less than warm. He even told my friend and I (both foreigners) what an "inconvenience it is to have foreigners stay at the hostel" while shaking his head and rolling his eyes at us. To make things worse, he then proceeded to slap my friend (who is a black woman) on her bum. A totally inappropriate violation of her body, personal space and deeply disrespectful and unprofessional. We were disgusted. Upon checkout he proceeded to flirtatiously ask for her personal wechat. Outrageous. I will never recommend this place to anyone based on his behavior.

The rooms were nice and clean. The shower needs to be fixed as the shower heads are all old. The service needs to be better as they don’t go out of their way to be friendly. Tho the front desk is helpful. It is directly on the beach and location is great for Houhai. I would stay here again if the price was cheaper.

Worse service I have had any any hotel. From the get go the manager of the hotel did not like me and my partner. He made checking in super difficult. Not friendly at all. There was 2 of us and he refused to give us 2 keys. Even after telling him my partner would be home way before me. Was not impressed with his attitude and made our stay frustrating. The location was good as it was nice and close to the reef bar where we would go to the swimming pool and the hotel is also on the sea front. I would not recommend staying there though because of the attitude of the manager/ owner.
