Cal Reiet Holistic Retreat

First time in a holistic hotel. The experience was fantastic. Very gentle staff and physiotherapist for massage very very professional (Tamara is very expert. Deep tissue massage fantastic. We had more also for my wife and my 11-year-old child,all satisfied!). The room with the bath in the middle was spacious and comfortable. The hotel gives you a relaxing sensation. Yoga in the morning very nice.

It came as no surprise to me that the hotel was beautiful. We arrived and our luggage was taken to the room and every part of the hotel looked just like the images I’d seen on instagram and their website. It’s low key luxury. Tasteful decor, comfortable furnishings, nothing too flashy but very stylish. They hold retreats there. We weren’t on a retreat but the food is pretty much the same whether you are or you aren’t. Plant based with the addition of an egg or two if you like. The chef Valentina is a magician and her breakfasts are legendary. I left with recipes she kindly wrote down for me and I am excited to try and replicate some of the dishes she made. There were yoga classes available but I didn’t attend any because they sun was out and well, I’m lazy. I did book some treatments though and the massage therapists are good, like please can I have that therapist again because my back pain has gone and I don’t know how she did it kind of good. The hotel is on the outskirts of Santanyi so if you feel like eating less plant based there are some good restaurants nearby. But the thing about this hotel that makes it standout is the Manager, Margarita. Uber professional and will bend over backwards to make sure you have everything you want/need. What a special place. I will be back. In fact I’ve just booked it.

We enjoyed every single day of staying here. Everything was simply outstanding: the food was delicious, especially the breakfasts, the staff was very responsive, friendly and caring. The room was spacious and clean. The location is also great and lots of amazing beaches are in close vicinity (~15-20 minutes by car). It's 10/10, we can't wait to visit this place again.

I attended a week long yoga and detox retreat. Everything was pretty much perfect; the property, rooms, staff, food, program content, teachers, setting, variety of retreat content, the wonderful cohort of participants. I am a seasoned retreat traveler ( almost 50 globally) and this one was one of the best. It had everything physically and spiritually. I have already signed up for this particular retreat for next year and will most likely go to another before then.

At first sight, everything looked amazing. The hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained. The pool area very relaxing. We went on a three night retreat, and added one extra night the day before the retreat started, just to relax. However, the sleeping quality turned out to be the worst. The automatic blinds was set to automatically go up at 2 am. When I complained, noone could do anything about it. On the third night, someone took the manual and got it done. But, then we already had two nights of waking up, and not being able to go back to sleep. Also, the Airconditioner was broken, and the room was humid and hot. Too warm to sleep… I also mentioned this, but they could not fix it since the handyman was busy elsewhere. At check-out I asked for a compensation since we had lost sleep for four nights. The receptonist could not make desiscions and asked to mail the hotel manager. The hotel manager after 5 days replied that sorry, she could not compensate on our stay but could probably do a special deal if I wanted to return in the future…? I asked if she was serious, since we paid a great deal for 4nights and dinners (that were also really untasty). She replied that she was unable to refund anything but I was Welcome back again, at a special deal. Again. I have stayed in many hotels over the world, mostly four and five star, and I am a frequent traveller. I have never been met with this ignorance before. It is common sense that if something is broken or doesnt meet standards, you should not have to pay for (all of) it. A compensation would have been so easy to do.

A great find. This spa hotel is in a rather obscure location on the edge of Santanyì. It’s a handsome 19th century building surrounded by attractive gardens. We didn’t stay in the hotel but we ate there twice: a lunch and a dinner. Both were excellent - really sophisticated light vegetarian food; great flavours and textures.

Cal Reiet es un lugar maravilloso y mágico. La encantadora pareja formada por Petra y Henning, fundadores de Cal Reiet Holistic Retreat, y su maravilloso y profesionalísimo equipo de colaboradores, hacen de CR un paraíso terrenal. A unos pasos de Santanyí, Petra y Henning han creado un auténtico paraíso terrenal. El antiguo edificio, la decoración y los jardines son preciosos. Las confortables habitaciones con sus luminosos baños han sido remozados con materiales naturales que ofrecen una recatada elegancia. Las encantadoras y guapas chicas en la recepción son toda amabilidad y excelente disponibilidad. Siempre con una sonrisa. La comida, preparada con productos regionales y frescos, es excelente. El desayuno es excepcional. Se sirve un bufet en la cocina abierta en donde se puede observar a las encantadoras, talentosas y creativas chefs preparar deliciosos y sanísimos platillos, y siempre dispuestas a responder a nuestras preguntas ó anotarnos una receta. En la arbolada terraza se consumen las comidas. El almuerzo y la cena son a la carta, con una variada y deliciosa elección y un excelente servicio. CR ofrece también un espacio SPA con diferentes tratamientos y clases. Por las mañanas (8:30) se puede participar en la clase de yoga al aire libre ó en un espacio cubierto, en caso de mal tiempo. El alma de CR yace en el genial concepto holístico que Petra y Henning han creado, pero que, sin el maravilloso equipo de colaboradores, tan bien elegido por esta genial pareja, no sería lo que es. Cal Reiet me ha dado muchísimo, tanto a nivel holístico como humano, y, sobre todo, mucho cariño. ¿Cómo definiría CR? Como una maravillosa familia. Muchas gracias por todo.
