The warm hospitality from both the staffs and owner is truly amazing. For me there's no place better than being in the comport of my home and being here gave me that home away from home feeling. Not to mention how perfect the food were. Thanks Aguada/ Drift inn my family and I enjoyed our stay...

The Drift Inn was great the rooms were nice and big and clean. Then staff was very friendly. Unfortunately we arrived to a wedding that was being held there. It would have been nice to have a little bit of a heads up, but it was only 1 night. We were thankful we were on the back side of the ace as it was a bit quieter. Then if we by the pool. Watching the turtles and the fish in the pond was nice to watch. Having the restraunt and bar was good to have on site. The night of the wedding, they recommend the Hive for supper just a short walk away. It was very good. I recommend as well.

Our team of five enjoyed a stay here before taking part in the La Ruta Maya River Challenge. They were all so thankful to have a nice, quiet place to rest up before the race. Drift Inn is located just off Loma Luz Boulevard in Santa Elena and thanks to the newly upgraded boulevard it's super easy to explore the twin towns (Santa Elena and San Ignacio). The rooms were clean and cozy. The pool was super refreshing. And the staff was so accommodating. Everyone on our team really enjoyed their stay! For anyone looking for an affordable (and accessible) stay, Drift Inn Cayo is definitely one to consider!

Drift Inn Cayo is in Santa Elena, an easy 35ish minute walk to downtown San Ignacio. Everyone knows the restaurant The Aguada, so if you get lost, someone can point you back. The Aguada is good, but there are also a bunch of equally good, but slightly cheaper restaurants you can get to by walking 10-15 minutes. There’s also every grocery marts about a 10 minute walk away. It’s mobility friendly, with ramps and rooms on the first floor. There are two dogs and at least one resident cat who will visit. The staff is very personable, and are more than willing to help you with whatever you need. The bed was comfortable and the towels and sheets are clean, as was the whole place. Housekeeping is every few days, but you can get fresh towels if you ask.

Whenever we go to San Ignacio for a couple of days we always stay at the Drift Inn. They are friendly and accommodating to our needs. The rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. I enjoy the pool and the nearby pond with turtles and fish. The atmosphere is sociable and the food at the restaurant is great. I especially enjoyed my happy hour drink poolside. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you are in Cayo.

We enjoyed our stay at Drift Inn. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room and other parts of the resort were very clean. The pool was sparkling. The grounds are pretty and well kept. One of the best parts of our stay was the quality of the food at the restaurant - it was excellent, better than we'd expected and better than other nearby places we tried. Some gentle criticisms or suggestions for the owners: (1) While the bedside lighting was good, the overall lighting in the room was a bit dim (but the ceiling light may have had more than one bulb in it and perhaps one of the bulbs was just burned out) and the dimness of the bathroom light meant I found it hard to see well at the mirror to shave. (2) It would have been nice/helpful to have a couple of sitting chairs in the room as all we had to sit on was the bed. I realize that there is not a lot of room for larger chairs but a couple of small ones would have fit nicely. (3) While it was quiet for sleeping at night, we found the music in the dining area to be quite loud at times. I realize we are older but surely we are not the only ones who appreciate peace and quiet to eat by. We would definitely stay here again and would love to eat here again too. I highly recommend it.

Such a great spot! So happy we chose to stay here for a week! Rustic jungle setting and very clean. Start the morning with some great coffee from the restaurant then set out for our daily adventures then came back to enjoy the tranquil jungle/garden setting by the pool and some happy hour drinks from the bar! Such an easy going relaxed space. All the staff were amazing, friendly and so helpful with tips and info. The pond with fish and turtles was an added bonus. We walked to San Ignacio a couple times, it was a great way to see the neighborhood. The stuffed jalapeños were awesome! We lucked out and got to listen to live music in the restaurant for our last night there, Garifuna music. Would definitely stay here again!

This was an amazing price for my own private room and bathroom. The pool is beautiful. I didn't get in the lake, but that was beautiful too.
The lakeside dining area is spacious and beautifully decorated.
I had dinner, breakfast, and drinks at the bar. It was all very convenient. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff.
It was chill and peaceful.
I only wish I had had a fridge in my room, I probably could have asked for one, but forgot.

Rooms are basic. Matresses need upgrading. Has a great pool and trampoline for kids. Staff is awesome and friendly. Food is good. Try the wings!. Bar is same price as in town so no overcharging. Good place for moderate priced stay especially for a family. Lots to explore in the immediate area.
