Room was clean. Service was very mediocre, and the staff were not very friendly and lazy

My friend and I loved this modern, chic, clean hotel in San Foca. It is located on the water with gorgeous views from the rooftop (that has a beautiful infinity pool). We paid a bit more for a room on 2nd floor with sea view & with it. About a 5 minute walk from the “Main Street” of this quiet seaside town. 40 minute walk along the sea to the Cave of Poetry. For breakfast get the Salento egg dish! Lovely staff.

The Posia is address the street from the Ocean so the view is beautiful but the town of San Foca has limited activities and dining despite the potential it is lacking in many ways. The hotel is average some of the staff is spacey. The valet/bellhop recommended a restaurant which was a sort of scam so beware of recommendations. The hotel charges for everything from beach towels, chairs, parking and you have to reserve a chair at a small pool. The pool is misleading from website. The pools are small . The hotel also scheduled a photo shoot the day we were leaving and the staff prioritized that over their customers. I feel like this hotel is average I would not recommend it. The beach is a walk and you have to pay for parking. The spa is in the basement and the gym is like a dungeon I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It’s not worthy it.

I would not consider this a luxury hotel and it is certainly not a 5 star hotel. The lobby was clean and modern but when we arrived in our room there was a very bad smell in the bathroom. We notified the front desk and they were prompt to offer a new room. The pools are nice but you have to reserve space at them. We were in the back of the hotel overlooking the pool and we could hear the pool pump and/or AC unit going all day long from our patio. The staff was kind and the room had what we needed but for the price paid, we were expecting much more.

Below average service and provided very little information of area’s attractions, restaurants, etc. We did our own research TG! The hotel is super modern. Very pricey which is ok on a beach location but then they charged for their Beach club access, for overnight parking, and the bicycles, etc… The room was just ok. The breakfast was very good. However, the hotel’s location was pretty ugly.

I have booked this trip as a gift for my mom’s b-day and we have stayed 2 night - had traveled there from Romania. Everything was planned couple of months in advance and I have paid for a spa treatment (70€ for 2 people). Unfortunately while being there we didn’t have the time anymore to use this service, and even though couple of days in advance I got an email about the fact this was paid, the information I have just overlooked. Then while staying the hotel staff didn’t inform that the service was paid, only at checkout this was mentioned when we had no time anymore to use this…so then the receptionist told me to write an email and inquire the refund because he cannot do. So I wrote the mail and the hotel declined the refund based on the fact they wrote me an email couple of days before the trip… I have had really other expectations from such a hotel…either that they communicate properly during the stay or that they refund. It’s not about the 70€ but I just want to warn everyone to be aware and careful with their payments for this hotel. Hope it helps.

Very disappointing in many areas. We had made a reservation for several rooms through ***********, one of them was with a refundable rate until a certain date, which had come at an extra charge. We requested a cancellation prior to the expiration date of the refundable rate and the hotel refused to accept the cancellation. First they pushed us off to saying the reservation was made through *********** and *********** does not allow the cancellation. When we called *********** they told us it is up to the hotel to make the decision. (lier, lier pants on fire!  and keep in mind we paid extra for this particular room to be able to be cancelled). We were booked for 7 days in serval rooms, left after 2 and they tried to over-charge us with 3 nights for the parking of the car at 10$ a day. Everything but breakfast in this hotel is extra $$$$ or restricted. We came here for a relaxing gym/ spa week, this expectation was unfortunately harshly disappointed. The spa is not worth it even if it would have been for free or included in the room rate. Spa is 32 $ for 1.5 h, even if you only want to use the sauna which is actually nice looking. The sauna cold water is luke warm, the "spa" water not really spa warm and the floor of the spa pool dirty. They have you sign a spa waver saying that if you get infected with bacteria it is not their fault. The roof top pool is locked off and not accessible, the spa pool closed when it rains. The gym, which is shown to be very nice on the website and advertisement is parked in a moldy corner of the basement with water damage and an unhealthy mold smell. They do have new equipment but the "biking solution" with stationary bike and virtual biking passes on a TV shown online is not existing. The balconies have no mosquito screens, so your choice is to either sleep in the AC - which they restrict to 25 degree unless you ask for lower temps - or have your rooms full of bugs. The outside of the balconies is surrounded with plants that give of a foul odor. The surroundings of the hotel are very dilapidated. Houses old, in dire need of some TLC, closed up, stores closed, restaurants shut down. Not much to do. The beach is covered with black stuff and the beach restaurant and chairs which are shown in their advertisement are non-existent or closed. Dinner in the hotel was very, very good one night, not so much the other night. Menu selection is rather small, however cook granted personal wishes. Breakfast was good, good coffee and nice selection of foods. The inside of the hotel is stylish as in the pictures in the advertisement. The rooms are rather small (ocean front and deluxe rooms) however the bathrooms are very nice and big. We do want to mention that most of the staff was extremely nice and forthcoming, however any of their attempts to help were overruled by corporate greed. We had booked 17 room-nights altogether (7 nights, 3 rooms), paid several thousand Euros and decided to leave after 2 days. 3 nights were boo

Super stylish, very comfortable hotel with excellent staff. We really enjoyed the pools and the easy access to swim in the sea, just across the road. The front desk staff were very helpful and efficient with restaurant recommendations and the booking of transfers. We really appreciated their confirmations by sms. The bar is great, providing fantastic cocktails made by friendly staff. The restaurant is also excellent; very high quality food with wines to match. However, the menu is very limited; our only suggestion would be to have a few more choices available for those staying longer. We also really enjoyed our day at Mora Mora Beach Club, which is affiliated to the hotel.
