Located just off the main ***** in Salou. With a handy "back door" that leads you to the main ***** in a few mins. Every member of staff, without exception, was helpful and friendly. How those restaurant staff maintain their energy levels is beyond me. The hotel has some very modern and well presented areas, yet some dated areas. However, without exception, the hotel was clean. The family suites are located in a separate building, an old hotel, I believe, but has been extensively updated - well, the public areas. Connected to the main hotel via a covered walkway. We stayed in the main hotel, and the room was modern with a modern TV with streaming services, Amazon, Netflix, YouTube, and Disney available. The odd thing was that the bathroom was dated. Clean but totally out of character with the room. Superb air conditioning. The room had a small fridge and a kettle with tea and coffee. Rooms cleaned daily. Food is always a personal choice, but you are seated, so no hassle of wandering about looking for a table. We went half board, and without exception, the food every day was hot, tasty, and cooked to a high standard. Knocks spots off other HB hotels locally. Will suit even the most fussiest eater. Really liked the water fountains dotted about and free water in the restaurant

2nd year staying at Golden port as a family last year we took my dad to join our family this year was my mum but we loved it last year this year we went all inclusive and the rooms were highly refurbished and the hotel within itself looked amazing as always the food is always amazing and the entertainment we found some where hit and miss this year you need to bring back games night red and blue team as was a good laugh last year we always love the freddi mercury tribute but overall the staff in the hotel are the nicest and loveliest bunch of people hats off to the go fun staff Juan Antonio, Christina, Raquel, Alba & Irene are all amazing with our kids and the fun we even have taking part in activities only suggestion and advice is they need to keep rules the same in the games as caused some disputes some people take them more serious than others but other than that the love we have for the staff from reception to restaurant gregal bar and even our housekeeper she was brillant at cleaning our rooms 216 & 215 and the kids club staff are all amazing we have already booked for next year again ✈️ thanks so much see u next time Ps yous should get a laundry room like the Avenida would be good for the hotel to have

Brilliant hotel thoroughly enjoyed it stayed 1st week in August with family we really liked it not any complaints (contrary to some recent reviews) my opinion, but staff very kind polite and friendly the cleaners in daily rooms are spotless. Food in restaurant for me, very good choice for everyone all ages and even if fussy tastes. Staff attentive. We didn’t stay much at night for the entertainment but always busy, violin night was good, in daytime the aqua aerobics in the pool was fun we mostly sunbathed outside the family suites pool and at the Gregal Bar area, also good food in there for lunchtime or an afternoon. Never sunbathed at the top of the hotel area but choice of 7 pools indoor is nice for a swim, lovely experience in the hotel can’t complain. Would definitely come back for me if was rated recently #1 in Salou and it felt like it. Very modern, comfy bed what else can you ask for. Good walking distance from most amenities.. We stayed as a family of 4 at the end of July/beginning of August and we had a brilliant time. We stayed 2 years ago and the rooms have been refurbished since then and they are absolutely lovely. There was plenty of room and storage space, free safe, kettle, coffee machine etc. The whole hotel is spotless and the cleaners are always working really hard. All of the staff we encountered were really friendly, especially Javier in the restaurant. He always made our daughter’s day. The food is really nice, so much choice for each meal whether you want traditional Spanish food or pizza, pasta, burgers etc. Prices were reasonable for drinks and also food in the Gregal Bar. The pools are nice and there were always sun loungers available when we were there. Lifeguards are friendly and allow children to have fun. The hotel is located near bars, shops, beach etc. If you use the exit near the pool tables of the Gregal Bar you can get to them much quicker. Definitely the best hotel we have stayed at in Salou and we will be back again

We have visited this splendid hotel numerous times and are never disappointed. We'll situated within easy walking distance of the shops and beach. The reception staff are excellent and very efficient answering any questions easily. We were on the second floor but have stayed on different floors and all the rooms are very similar. You can pay more for a pool view but we found the sunniest balconies were to the side of the hotel. The bar serves well known spirits and the all inclusive offer is very good. The food is fantastic for every meal. The breakfasts can be very busy so better to go down earlier rather than later. Lots of choice and all piping hot. A special mention for the bar staff, particularly, Felipe, Joel and Sanae who were friendly and always went the extra mile. The very friendly man in the restaurant, Javier was fantastic always managing to find us good seats! All in all a great place to visit!

We visited the hotel in July for an all inclusive week, very friendly staff on reception and we received our room key as soon as we arrived. The hotel has had a refurbishment and it is clear to see the upgrade with new doors on all rooms and a more modern room design. There was a safe to use for free in the room and a small fridge, limited tv channels but you could access YouTube which was good. The beds are a bit hard so I used a spare duvet to soften mine up. The balconies at the side of the hotel got quite a lot of sun so we spent quite a bit of time on ours. The food at all meal times was lovely especially the lunchtime, lots of vegetables and tuna. The breakfast was a difficult one as so busy whenever you went, hard to navigate between all the stations without bumping into people. The bar staff were really nice especially Filipe, Joel and Sanae who always remembered our order. You do get branded spirits with all inclusive which is an extra benefit. Javier in the dining room was very friendly and always got us the best seats To conclude, a lovely hotel with great food and drinks and some staff who go above and beyond for you…highly recommended.

Loved this hotel. Rooms were great. Staff were great but unfortunately salou was a let down for us. Really wish this hotel was some were nice that it deserves. I'd have been booking straight away if it was. But if you do like salou then it literally 10mins to beach and lots of bars and restaurant to choose from along the way. Highlight of the week for us was House of illusions. Omg book it it was amazing. Also had a lovely 3 course meal with drinks at the show. It's a must.

Clean, friendly hotel .Ideally situated for beach and shops.Food is excellent with a vast range of vegetarian food as well as lots of fantastic dishes to choose from.There is a choice of two bars for your evening entertainment if you just want to relax or dance.. Had a fabulous time first week in July 24 honestly cannot fault it .Ideal for all ages or groups ....great for those people who require wheelchairs too as everything has been thought out and is on a level with ramps or lifts .All in all 10 out of 10 xx
