Chateau de Sanse

Really enjoyed our stay here, setting is gorgeous, tranquil with lovely terrace and pool area . Staff are super friendly and helpful and the owner is attentive and wants to ensure you have a good stay . We were attending a wedding nearby and they helped organise transport over the weekend celebrations. The bed was very comfortable, good power shower and nice large room . It was very hot during our stay but a fan was provided which was welcome . Thank you everyone at Chateau de Sanse , I know we will return .

This newly renovated inn is one of the most lovely experiences I’ve had in a lifetime of travel. It’s exceptionally charming, with a wonderful restaurant and the friendliest staff. The beds were comfortable, the whole hotel is impeccably clean, and the restaurant is excellent. The owners are onsite and engaged — and truly delightful. I will absolutely return here when I come to the area again.

A lovely little chateau with very friendly staff (with good English too) - nice setting - good rustic French food available with either lunch or dinner available as half board. Breakfast is a continental buffet - not huge - but well done. Good sized pool area, swings and slide for children. The setting is quiet with some amazing night skies away from light pollution.

First class hotel and restaurant. Superb views and location. Elegant and comfortable rooms and warm and friendly welcome from the owners and staff. The food was excellent with a good choice of dishes and the wine didn’t have to travel far!

Stayed a couple of nights in this lovely tranquil hotel. Rooms well furnished and very comfortable. We chose to eat in both nights and the food was fantastic. The team were attentive and friendly. Under new ownership since July 22 but with the same team... together they made our stay truly memorable and we will return when next in the area.

This is our second visit to the Chateau, our first being 9 years ago. And literally nothing has changed. Amazing scenery and stunning chateau located in a peaceful vineyard setting. However the rooms are now looking tired and dated. While we were there we met the new owners who have said they are renovating over the winter and putting in air con in all rooms. The staff were amazing, friendly, personable and spoke good English. The pool was great and large car park with shade is welcome in the summer heat. We will return maybe sooner next time!

We were two couples, staying in the "character" rooms which were stylishly decorated with stunning views out over the rolling vineyards below. This venue offers serene tranquility and all the staff, including front of house, Thierry, are infused with a "can-do" nothing is too much trouble approach. We had dinner on the beautiful terrace and every dish was an artistic creation as well as being simply delicious. Local produce, an extensive menu and reasonably priced excellent wines, including some lovely local discoveries. I cannot recommend this fantastic hotel highly enough ... Other points to note: the hotel had a lovely heated pool and the grounds surrounding the main building were very well kept and pretty. Take a walk down to the lake where the wildlife is abundant. And if you're a fan of night skies, there is very little light pollution so you will be rewarded with stunning starry skies!

Heel mooie hotel, super vriendelijk ontvangst gekregen van Jonas & Sandra. Mooie kamers, leuke zwembad. Heel rustig. Super goede bedden. Heel netjes en proper. 60 km rijden naar Bordeaux. Heel lekkere ontbijt, en diner. een top kok. Hier komen we zeker nog eens terug. Gezellige bar. leuke uren meegemaakt met Jonas en Sandra. Top gezellige mensen

Wir waren im März 2023 für zwei Übernachtungen dort und zählten zu den ersten zwei Gästen, die mit viel Herzblut und Engagement betreut wurden. Inzwischen sind weitere Zimmer und die Umgebung, zu der eine herrliche Terrasse und ein Pool gehören, renoviert. Wir bewohnten ein sehr grosszügiges Zimmer mit grossen Bad, das sowohl eine Badewanne wie auch eine Dusche hatte. Am Morgen wurden wir mit einem sehr reichhaltigen und mit frischen Zutaten zubereiteten Frühstück und herzlicher Begrüssung verwöhnt. Bei der Buchung wurden wir vom Hotel informiert, dass das Restaurant abends geschlossen sei, was uns nicht hinderte, trotz allem zu buchen. Der Gastgeber anerbot sich aber nach unserer Ankunft, eigens für uns zu kochen. Wir lehnten dankend ab, da wir annahmen, in der Umgebung etwas zu finden. Im März gestaltet sich dies aber als schweirig, obwohl es eine Touristengegend ist. Das einzigartige Hotel und die Gastgeber können wir wärmstens empfehlen. Wir bedanken uns herzlich für die Gastfreundschaft und kommen gerne wieder!
