Best location next to the beach beautiful room and nice bar in the hotel

Luckily we only booked for one night. Whilst the location is convenient and the hotel unique/boutique in its setting, please be aware that this is not a hotel but 3 very old townhouses merged together. The style and design of the rooms are lovely, with a cute old charm with modern touches and quality details. The staff are friendly enough, especially John who helped park our car and took our luggage. The streets are very narrow and not designed for cats and the parking is 100 metres away from the hotel, not a problem and John will guide you. Our issues started with the room we were given (7) which is directly above the reception and hotel entrance, which is direct onto the street. We were unable to get any sleep as we could hear guests and the staff leaving the hotel between 02am-04am. Also theres a a swinging/revolving old door that the staff use that makes loud banging noises which we could hear all night. If you are a light sleeper or staying for more than 1 night I would recommend a different hotel or ask for a quieter room. The other gripe, was with breakfast, when paying 520 EUR for the room (March 2025 out of season with everything still closed) and another 65 EUR for breakfast we expected a good selection for breakfast. What you are offered is a breads basket, a slice of cake, coffee/tea and juice. No options just this. They then give you an 'a la carte menu' with options for eggs, fruits, granola, bacon/sausage/mushrooms etc which are all priced 10-15 Euros etc each item. This to me is unacceptable, as you end up paying 120 EUR for breakfast each day! This caused a lot of problems for the staff and you could see other guests equally annoyed. If you are going to offer a 5 star boutique hotel and you are charging these prices, at least offer a full breakfast option for the 65 EUR you are already charging. We were told when checking out that other guests had complained about the banging staff door when trying to sleep, but the reception also said we should expect noise during the night because St Tropez is busy and lively (agreed but not out of season in March!) Good luck if you are staying May-Sept. All in all, we really wanted to like this hotel, however we cannot recommend it for the price, difficulty sleeping and an overly complicated, expensive and annoying breakfast service. Likes - Friendly staff especially the guys helping out for check-in and luggage, shout out to John.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel La Ponche. The hotel is wonderful - beautifully decorated, it has real charm with luxurious rooms that are full of personality and the history of the hotel. The service from the staff is excellent - from transporting us from the car garage to the hotel in their own Tuk Tuk to being shown our amazing room (which had been kindly upgraded to one with a balcony and sea view), every staff member was lovely and welcoming. Our whole stay was perfect, we couldn't have stayed anywhere better to explore beautiful Saint Tropez and we look forward to visiting again in the future!

Absolutely beautiful friendly hotel ideally suited in centre of the town yet secluded. Staff kind & helpful but a massive shout out to Penelope and to John. John was outstanding and is a major asset as he is the first contact with the hotel. Room delightful with every amenity. We’ll be back next year for sure!

My only negative the rooms are small Other then that my stay was excellent! The best part was the over the top service. Staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable! From the moment we drove in they took our car, brought in all our luggage and were always available with any questions. A special shout out to the concierge Ms Raphaele who worked tirelessly to secure reservations on a busy weekend because we had done no planning whatsoever. Also the location could not be beat. Right in the middle of shops and restaurants and also near the water. Thank you La Ponche staff We had a wonderful time :)

NOT a Five star hotel! They have to scam their customers to make money because they know it is not worth what they are charging and no one would ever stay here twice. They did not have the courtesy to confirm reservation that was booked 3 months out, and then proceeded to charge the full amount for a two night stay that we never made it for. With todays technology there is NO excuse for that, especially if you claim to be a 5star hotel. Had they taken the time to reconfirm or send a courtesy email saying they were looking forward to our staying there, we would have cancelled! Instead they took the full two nights charge without batting an eye-which is highly over priced!!! Instead we stayed at Hotel Sube- definitely recommend!!! Not only did we get a courtesy email prior to our arrive, their location, room and service were all impeccable! (And at nearly half the price!!) Their concierge service was amazing. Every wish we had was granted and with a smile. Do NOT waste your money at Hotel La Ponche…. Stay a Hotel Sube instead. You’ll be so glad you did.

This is not a 5 star hotel. First very difficult to find. In pedestrian area. The hotel is very chopped up, stair at every turn. Difficult to retrace your steps to find your room. No elevator. We had stayed in several 5 stars hotels that were excellent on our French Riviera . Especially in Juan Les Pins where we stayed at Hotel Belles Rives. So this hotel was a huge disappointment They said that our room was upgraded. Can't imagine from what from. The bathroom is so tiny. Makeup mirror would not fit on counter unless you removed everything. It is kept under the sink in a cabinet along with the towels. Two people can not fit in this room. No place to hang up towels. Since telephone to reception didn't work had to walk down several flights to get a bucket of ice. Could then not find my room, thankfully a staff member help find it. In the morning of departure again could not reach reception and my husband had to carry luggage down the several flights. On a plus side, the location was excellent and the staff very nice.

Staff take more than three hours to clean room even guest is in hotel.just saying wait. Even guest reached after a long journey should avoid this hotel to stay.no one here to ask for water. At 1 pm they said room is vacant and in cleaning. After 2 hours front desk manager says our check in time is 4 even not mentioned in their booking.

We stayed here for 4 nights in June. The hotel is very small and old but completely updated. The location is great as it is near the port and walkable to most locations in town. The staff is great.The hotel has an active restaurant that we did not eat at and a bar that is very expensive even for Saint Tropez prices.

The hotel is lovely and in the ideal location, but what's most special about staying here is the incredibly kind and generous hotel staff! They could not have been more helpful! Ilyes and Emmanuel were especially sweet and supportive, not to mention handsome ;)

We stayed here for a romantic relaxing weekend and did they deliver! Amazing room, bathrooms, front desk and valet service and location. The renovation is spectacular. The front desk and concierge Raffaele were so helpful and on target with every suggestion, The way the bellman meets with with the little vehicle at the garage makes you feel very special. We could not have been happier. The location right in the hears of the old village could not have been better and we have been coming to St Trop for over 30 years. The restaurant for breakfast or dinner was also excellent food and very romantic. The new bar is also highly recommended!

Everything about this small hotel is excellent! Location, cleanliness, staff, restaurant. The staff are exceptional - Raphel concierge, Victoire and all the girls on reception, Vanilla, Lesley and all the restaurant and bar staff, John, Luke and other valet - all are excellent and looked after us from the minute we rang to book until the minute we left. They truly are a credit to the hotel and treated us as VIP's from the minute we walked in. Love the hotel - has such a glamourous feel and spotlessly clean. Bedroom was large and very large bathroom. Dog friendly and they made such a fuss of our dog. Many small personal touches of quality including a personalised handwritten note from Audrey Bremond the manageress . Highly recommend.

The location, cleanliness, service and overall experience combined to make the stay a most memorable one. I would book again at the Hotel La Ponche without hesitation. One of the best on the French Riviera.

Ich war allein zwei Tage im Hôtel La Ponche. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den freundlichen, warmen und überaus aufmerksamen Service des gesamten Personals. Ich habe mich sofort sehr willkommen gefühlt. Mein Zimmer mit Meerblick war wundervoll, besonders all die kleinen Details (das Briefpapier, die sehr herzlich handgeschriebene Karte für mich zur Begrüßung mit den Köstlichkeiten, die kleinen interessanten Bücher zur Geschichte des Hotels...), die einen sehr liebevoll empfangen. Das Zimmer ist sehr stilvoll möbliert, hell, die Betten sehr bequem, im Bad fehlt es an nichts. Ich wollte, dass die Klimaanlage ausgestellt blieb, sagte es einmal und von da an blieb sie aus. Das Hotel besticht durch durch seine stilvolle Einrichtung, aber es ist der ausgezeichnete Service - hier auch ein Dank an die patente, zuverlässige und freundliche Concierge - der dieses Hotel zu einem Ort macht, an dem man sich wie bei Freunden fühlt. Das Restaurant ist ausgezeichnet. Die Atmosphäre des ganzen Hotels wundervoll. Lieben Dank !! Saint Tropez ist nicht so ganz mein Ort, aber das Hotel und auch seine Lage, die ist es mir wert noch einmal wiederzukommen.
