Very friendly welcome, helpful staff, always happy to help. Hotel is clean, tidy and very welcoming. Breakfast was gorgeous and plenty of it. Freshly cooked and very tasty. Rooms are lovely and very comfortable Only complaint and very small one, bar rices are HIGH

Absolutely fantastic experience...and now I know more about Gin!! Nibbles were amazing. A MUST experience for all. The host was very informative, engaging and entertaining. Thank you for such a brilliant presentation....first class. PS: member my banana infused Gin suggestion for the future .

We stayed here for a week. The room was very well- equipped. The only omission was a fridge. The bed was really comfortable and room service excellent. We had a lovely view of the open park just across the road. The standard of decor and communal accommodation was very high and stylish. Now to the reception staff- so warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The concierge was very personable and the Manager was around quite a bit interacting with guests. Having a joke or giving advice about sightseeing. Really nice! The restaurant staff were outstanding too. Always smiling and very efficient. Very slick service because there are plenty on duty and well- trained. The food was first class. Great breakfast choices. Dinners also were excellent. The scallops were the best I’ve tasted. I really can’t fault this hotel! We had a great stay.

The staff are second to none. They are so courteous and helpful. Our stay was wonderful. Luxurious bedding, furnishings, and bathroom accessories. Fabulous food. Location is central to the town and the excellent bus services. Would highly recommend.

I chose to stay here instead of OGH which I felt was tired and overpriced and the Duke of Richmond looked more modern online. I was so wrong. Genuinely confused by the amazing reviews for this hotel. The room was horrible, the decor was absolutely hideous, marks all over the walls, the bed was a queen- though the room was advertised as a double, it was tiny, the bathroom light didn't turn on unless all of the other lights in the room were on. Just awful and in need of a complete refurb. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're ＞75 years old, which to be fair seemed to be their target market. The concierge was very helpful, hurried the reception staff along to allow me to check out and was super friendly, so thanks to him.

We were staying here as a special treat for our 45th wedding anniversary.It was a trip down memory lane as we had our honeymoon in Guernsey all those years ago,. After a glitch on arrival, not being given the balcony room we had booked, we were worried. We didn’t need to have been, Johal Scott the manager went above and beyond for us. We were moved the next day to an amazing upgraded balcony suite and wine was sent to our room. The fault was not with Johal but the travel agent we used. However he took ownership of it and we were so grateful there was no hassle just charming customer care. We loved staying at The Duke of Richmond and were sad to leave.

Lovely 3 x night stay. All staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Excellent welcome pack full of information to aid trip to the island. Gorgeous food ( experienced both breakfast / lunch and dinner service). Very comfortable rooms, immaculately clean. Special thank you to Fiaze, Paul and Nicolas Look forward to next visit

Heard very scary stories of hotel manager from staff & locals-beware everyone! Don’t know how someone is still employed after this-would seriously question how safe this hotel is or how much safety is a concern for the owners? Shame on all involved

My wife and I stayed at The Duke of Richmond hotel and after checking in were very hungry. The polite staff at the front desk referred us to the Leopard Restaurant. They made a special effort to get us seated on a very busy night. We were fortunate to have Faiza as our server. Very simply, she was fantastic. She looked after us, checked on the table at appropriate intervals with a smile and took good care of us. I highly recommend the restaurant and if you have a choice, ask for Faiza and I promise a wonderful evening.
