We absolutely loved this place. The building is beautifully and tastefully decorated and restored and caters for pretty much your every need with one major exception - air conditioning. Being in an attic room when it is 35 degrees outside without air conditioning is a wretched experience, no matter how lovely the decor. We were forced to leave the windows open all night and, because we were overlooking a river, we were absolutely mauled by mosquitoes by the morning. It just seems such an obvious oversight in a hotel which obviously prides itself on its aesthetics and service to not bother installing air conditioning. And unfortunately it is an oversight that will probably preclude us from staying there again, at least during summer months. But if you are visiting outside of the summer heat and maybe if you are fortunate enough to not be allocated an attic room, this is a truly stunning, relaxing and peaceful retreat.

Une magnifique maison dans un superbe domaine au bord de la Vézère Merci aux deux jeunes filles en charge de l’entretien des chambres et du petit déjeuner extrêmement sympathiques, disponibles et professionnelles Situé à moins d’une heure de l’ensemble des sites tels que Sarlat, Collonges-la-Rouge, le gouffre de Padirac, le lac du Causse et de pleins d’autres balades en pleine nature, vous saurez apprécier à votre retour de visite, le calme du site avec pour seules perturbations le bruit de la rivière et le cri des canards Vous aurez peut-être le plaisir de croiser le propriétaire des lieux et partager avec lui quelques expériences issues de ses innombrables voyages Je vous recommande très fortement

Très bel établissement au bord de la Vezere .
Nous avions la suite avec vue sur la rivière ce qui était top.
Merci à Christine pour sa gentillesse et son efficacité .
Merci à Julie et Emma pour leur accueil .
Les moins : le ménage est loin d être fait tous les jours contrairement à ce qui est noté sur la réservation et pour un séjour de 7 nuits avec 3 enfants et un chien ce n’est pas du luxe.
Pas de rideaux dans les chambres pour occulter la lumière .
Une piscine sans les normes de sécurité attention avec les enfants.

Une salle de bain moisie, des surfacturations, une petite chambre à la place de la suite réservée. Pour le week-end de la Saint Valentin, c'était pourtant bien parti : réservation d’une Suite, glamour au vu des photos du site. Nous avons eu droit : - à une salle de bain moisie (voir photo), qui est « standard » après échange avec le propriétaire ; - à une simple chambre au lieu de la Suite mais facturée au prix de la Suite évidemment. La fenêtre donnait sur la rivière comme demandé, mais on était loin du glamour de la Suite réservée, facturée et présentée sur le site internet ; - à une facturation de 25 euros de l’accès à la piscine mentionnée nul part et annoncée uniquement au moment du règlement ; - à une prise électrique dans la salle de bain, qui sent le brûlé dès qu’on y branche un sèche-cheveux ; - à la réception, un jeune homme assez méprisant, qui ne parle que anglais. La situation du Moulin et le petit déjeuner sont appréciables mais l’accueil, les surfacturations et la vétusté de la chambre refroidissent les mieux disposés des clients.
