Le Jardin de Rose

Some places have it some don’t! You can’t create ambience it’s either there or it’s not. This place has it in bucket loads, if they could bottle it and sell it, they’d be billionaires. It’s an adults only, so no noisy children, it only has one bathroom but immaculate. It is tranquility. We did not see any shops or restaurants nearby on our way in, there are some, but we never tried to find them, we just sat and rested, the owners were really friendly and helpful. We were there only one night. We will be back. 10/10 for a great little backwater b&b with mini campsite. Oh yeah we had breakfast too.. that was really good, a typical continental breakfast.. my thoughts.. excellent

We are currently at the B and B staying on the their campsite in our Motorhome with EHU. We have found a gem of a place, beautiful gardens, quiet and peaceful. A few minutes walk to a village with bakery and other small shops. A great place for exploring on foot or cycling. When we arrived we were the only guests. Now, there are a French couple in a tent. The facilities are excellent more like a home from home than the usual utility toilet and showers. We have viewed the bedrooms with lovely large en-suite facilities. Would wholeheartedly recommend. Min and Barry are great hosts and we will definitely be back.

We stayed at this B&B last month and what a beautiful find! The B&B it self was just what we was looking for! Immaculate rooms with lovely furnishings, the surroundings was just so pretty, and the hosts, Min and Barry, were superb! So friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble at all. Whilst there we hired a car and ventured out to see different sights. My favourite being the kayaking we did which was at Vivonne (around 30 mins up the road) and La Vallee Des Singes!! - The monkey park! This was just up the road from the B&B and there are Monkeys running wild :) We also visited Blossac Park , La Rochelle and an old castle in Gencay which was all just so beautiful. The days we didn't fancy taking the car Min and Barry had some bikes we hired and went roaming around Romagne in the lovely sun and took a picnic down by the river. Had such an amazing time and already booked to go back next year! Thanks again Min and Barry for making is feel so welcome and comfortable during our stay xx

Super warm and friendly welcome from the hosts: Barry and Min. Very pretty, well furnished, comfortable room. This B&B is set in very pretty, well tended grounds in a very peaceful location within a gorgeous area of France. Breakfast offers a wide range of options. Very relaxed stay and would whole-heartedly recommend without hesitation. We will definitely be returning !

We stayed in this wonderful B&B last night. Min & Barry are excellent hosts. Our room was fabulous, such a comfortable bed, tea/coffee making facilities/ lovely shower. All the bedding & towels were excellent quality. It’s so lovely to have the use of the very comfortable sitting room with a TV/wifi & a roaring log fire. Breakfast was incredible, such an array of delicious fresh eggs/ cheese/meat/ cereals/ yogurts/ fruit/crusty bread & a selection of croissants. It was in excess of our expectations. We look forward to returning.
