Blue Sea Island

Me and my partner and who we travelled with had an amazing time the facility it clean welcoming and the food is amazing ....(not the place for a great English breakfast for my fellow brits) ...but amazing none the less. We will be returning in October hopefully and I cant wait to fall asleep on the beach sunbeds again holding a pina colada :))

We recently stayed at Blue sea island for 10 nights and it's really a mixed bag of pros and cons. We arrived at the hotel for check in and the gentleman on reception was very helpful, even showing us to our room and carrying our cases. ROOM:We stayed in room 272 and this was a big plus for our stay, the room is perfectly located with a beautiful sea view from the balcony. This is also the closest room to the pool and is very handy as the nearest toilets from the pool is a few mins walk away and down a flight of stairs (It was easier for me and my wife to just come back to our room as it was so close to the pool) FOOD: overall the food here is very good, you have so many options, the main restaurant has a great variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner although if you stay longer than a week the second week of your stay the food menu is a repeat of your first week so that's a small negative. On the days that we didn't fancy lunch we went to the food court which had gyros, burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, desserts etc and it was all delicious. One negative the Ala carte is the same area they use for the food court but they switch it to the Ala carte after 6pm, not the best location as it was windy, also not very private as you're right by people drinking in the beach bar. Also the Ala carte food and drinks are all available at the main restaurant so it's not really a unique experience and it's not something I would pay extra for if I wanted to go more than once. ENTERTAINMENT TEAM: Sorry but this is the biggest disappoin**ent of the whole holiday, the entertainment team are non-existent and seem to pick and choose what activities they do and the schedule isn't followed. Darts is suppose to be at 11am but I never saw it done once for the first 8 days of my stay and then on the 9th day I saw them playing but they don't ask or inform guests activities are about to take place so they have a poor turnout. Aqua gym at 12pm wasn't done for 3 days and then suddenly they did it everyday (this is the only time you had decent music round the pool) Water polo one day they'd play the next they wouldn't, no music around the pool during the day either which means there's zero a**osphere and guests resort to playing music through their phones (if the entertainment team tuned up at 10am as per the schedule they could play music all day and get a good a**osphere by the pool) The evening entertainment isn't much better either tbh, they turn up at the very last minute and don't seem well prepared, one night cancelling a club disco at the last minute for a quiz and blamed the windy weather although it's obvious because they wasn't ready and scrambled to do something else. I booked this hotel as on the beach advertised the day and evening entertainment and for me when you're all inclusive this is a big thing but they couldn't do the basics and overall very poor and the worst entertainment team I've ever experienced, 10 days on holiday and not a single conversa

I stayed here for 7days in may for my birthday the hotel is amazing all staff are friendly always have a smile, food is nice drinks are nice would defo stay here again the town is about 5mins walk where there a lot of places to eat & drink .. Thanks for a lovely Holiday

The hotel itself is beautiful, very modern and clean looking, the rooms were beautifully decorated and the beds were really comfortable. Had a fantastic nights sleep in them. Didn’t want to go back home to my own bed. All the staff at the hotel were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you always very pleasant and a smile on their faces which is always nice to see. Real credit to the hotel. We especially loved George from the restaurant and the French bartender who’s usually around the kids pool bar. We didn’t experience much of the entertainment as we didn’t stay in the hotel all the time but we did enjoy Greek night and do recommend you go if it’s on the rota as we had so much fun up dancing and experiencing the culture. The kids entertainers themselves were great but the same 4-5 songs on loop every night isn’t good enough in my opinion I would have liked to have seen more for the children and compared to other all inclusive resorts we’ve been to I did feel this was lacked the most. The food was sometimes a struggle but quite typical for a 11 days of a buffet. The breakfast was good. They did have fresh fruit, cereals, pancakes, eggs etc. Dinner we went to the pizza bar down near the beach and the pizza was amazing and made there fresh they had other things like gyros, burgers and salad. No complaints about that. Up in the main restaurant it was pretty boring and at dinner time and found it hard some days to find something we really fancied. We did go out to eat quite often on an evening and the prices of food on the surrounding areas is cheap enough to do so. The drinks menu was good enough for us. Not the biggest selection but what you’d expect for all inclusive resort. I recommend their Aperol spritz as it was beautiful. Not sure if it would be a complaint for everyone but they are not tight with the alcohol. The drinks are STRONG! Not like your usual all inclusive where you can barely taste the booze. You taste nothing but the booze 😆 so I did find myself having to tell them to make them a little less strong. We did see some people getting moved to other hotels because there was no room for them. Luckily this wasn’t our situation but bare that in mind because it happens and it’s unacceptable to be moved to another hotel when you’ve just got off a plane and transfer. Not the stress people need at the start of a holiday. Overall we did enjoy our time here but I’m leaving a 4 as I do think there is room for improvement in some areas.

Absolutely horrendous experience. We arrived at around 9:30pm to check in after a long day of travelling, got given our all inclusive wrist bands and told to grab some food at the restaurant before it closed and we could check in after. We did this and then upon returning to front desk to check in, we were told they had a system error and had overbooked and that we would have to go to their sister hotel for the first night. Absolutely disgusting especially when reading reviews on here, people experience the same thing back in September 2023 so this is clearly not a system error and they are just overbooking on purpose. The sister hotel was a dive, it was disgusting and full of dead bugs and other guests hair. We arrived back at our hotel the following morning with other guests that had the same experience and were fobbed off with an “upgraded room” which was just the exact room we had booked anyway!! Reception staff and manager are a joke. Housekeeping knock on your door and come in at 8am every morning which is also ridiculous! Pool is freezing cold, entertainment is practically non existent and the food is diabolical, cold and repetitive. Would never stay here again and the only good experience we had was the bar and snack bar staff being nice and helpful and clearly working very hard pretty much 7 days a week.

We just got home and had the most amazing time ever, Alex & his entertainment team were so awesome, always loved chatting to them and joining in their watergym. couldn’t have asked for better people to have entertain us! The hotel as a whole was great also.

HI, I stayed at Blue Sea Island, from 11th May till 18th May 2024. I have a Visual Impairment, I found the complex very accessible, with plenty of ramps and hand rails near the steps around the complex. All the staff we're very helpful all the time, when I went for breakfast, I was very well looked after, by staff in restaurant every morning, which made my stay really nice. My room was very nice, plenty of room, the food was great. The private beach was very accessible too, with there being a ramp to use, at both ends of the bar, and plenty of loungers to use. I have just returned from a 5 night stay at the hotel and it was brilliant. I am disabled and a wheelchair user so was a bit nervous about this stay but I am so pleased with all of the facilities from start to finish. On entering the hotel it just looks lovely, so clean, big and stunning. There is a ramp on the left of the steps so I could easily access the main building and reception area. There is lift access to all floors. We booked an accessible room which was on the 3rd floor, access was perfect. A slight step onto the balcony but this was easy to bump down and up to access; we had a land view but it was stunning as you get to see the sunset over kolympia rock in the evening! Bed was very comfortable. We loved that there was a fridge and we were given big bottles of water for free. The rooms are very clean, but during the day the cleaning staff don’t clean your room until later in the day sometimes so if you need a clean I’d say it’s best to ask reception to make sure it gets done. We were shocked with how many pools there were. In the back building there are facilities for family and children. And in the main building there are 2 main large pools and then some private pools;these pools can be cold. The inside pool and jacuzzi are in the spa area. We visited the spa on one of the last days of our trip and it was a perfect relaxing end to the holiday. My trea**ent was done by Anastasia and I had the scalp and back massage. It was very relaxing and just what I wanted. The trea**ent room is beautiful, smells great, and has a great feel to it. I was offered lots of help and brought a tea straight after my trea**ent. If you are in a wheelchair but bear in mind the trea**ent room door ways are a little narrow and the bed is a little high. There is step free access to the beach. The ramp leading down to the beach bar area is steep but the hotel staff were great and said if we needed picking up in a car and bringing up the hill then they would do that for us! There are wooden slates that lead all the way down to the sand/beach meaning that I could get to the loungers which was fab! The bar down at the beach is great during the day and evening, was one of our fave spots. The food in that area was our fave as the pizza and crepes were amazing! The buffet meals were good, I’m vegetarian so there were many choices for me. Good options for kids like chicken and pasta. George and Niko in particular made our dining experiences so special and they’re so kind and helpful!! The location of this hotel was great as you’re on the beach, there are areas around the hotel to explore like restaurants and the harbour. It is a 25-30min taxi to the airport. It is a 40min taxi to Rhodes old town for €44 but it is a lovely drive. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel but we never used the bus. Would definitely recommend staying 5 nights here like we did as there is plenty to keep you entertained and happy in the daytime and evening. Great for friends and f

It was a very nice experience, the room was very calming and The Massage felt nice. I really einyojed it. Dimitris did my massage and it was nice and the perfect pressure. I would recommend this massage experience. The service is nice and the stuff is very kind
