Hotel Plaza Yara

Very nice hotel. Away from the busiest (and most annoying part) of Manuel Antonio but still very close by. The pool in the jungle garden is exquisite. Howler monkeys and huge parrots were in the trees above us all the time. Staff is also very friendly. We arrived in the morning but were already allowed to check-in which was very nice as we only stopped by to drop off our bags before heading to the park. The included breakfast was great and plentiful. Our room was on the big terrace with the lounge chairs which was a great spot to sit at night hearing the rain fall down in the jungle whilst reading a book. Room itself was comfortable and huge and very cosy. Would highly recommend this hotel when staying in Manuel Antonio!

We've been to Manuel Antonio a few times and stayed at this hotel years ago but after trying other ones we decided to come back to this one. The rooms are huge with comfortable beds. We are a family of four with luggages and was never cramped. We love the pool area and being surrounded by nature. Our room had direct access to the pool and a private sitting area outside to work or have your coffee. I loved waking up to the sound of howler monkeys and macaws and could have stayed starring at the monkeys all day long but we wanted to explore a bit. They are renewing the rooms and the common areas, the breakfast is very good, big servings and multiple options to choose from. The suites have a kitchenette with microwave, a little fridge, cups and plates which comes in handy when you are traveling with kids. The coffee in the bedroom is very good too. They don't have a restaurant but we walked to the restaurant they recommended which is very good and the other evenings we drove 10-15 min to the marina in Quepos just because we like it there but you have other options nearby. Thumps up to Nelson and Caleb at the front desk who helped us wrapping a painting from their art gallery to bring home as souvenir. We'll definitely come back.

This is a good hotel, room we had was really spacious with fantastic shower and comfortable beds. Room was also very quiet despite being on main road. Pools are fun. Staff really helpful and friendly. It’s not 5 for me because of location, it’s a drive to go to dinner etc. but this is in the price. Btw the restaurant they recommend is great.

Hotel Yara is very nice and modern. The rooms are huge and the shower you can fit at least four people in there. LOL Only two complaints I have and one is that there is only one tiny glass shelf to put your toiletries on in the bathroom. If you have more then one female in your room you know that this is a problem. For how huge the bathroom is, there is definitely room for more counter space of some kind. My second complaint, is that the pillows on the nice big queen beds are flat as a pancake, they are HORRIBLE! Other then that, the staff is very friendly, the hotel and rooms are very clean, and the breakfast is very nice and warm. There is no restaurant on this property so that may be a problem at times for some. Hotel Yara is located about half way between Quepos and the beaches of Manuel Antonio. It was a great location but you must have a car or not mind taking the bus or a taxi. The bus stop is located right before and after the hotel. It was very easy, safe and cheap to take. We also taxied which of course was a little more expensive. Walking distance to some restaurants would not be a problem, but there are not very many areas that there are sidewalks so it is pretty risky walking the streets in hopes to not get hit as the streets are very curvy and narrow. It is also quite a walk to the beaches and it is very hilly along the way. We felt very safe in the whole area of all the things we did and all the transportation we took so you cant go wrong. Even walking we felt safe. We did not use the pool because we chose to go to the beaches instead but it looked very refreshing and clean. Would definitely recommend, just bring your own pillow. :)

Wonderfull place. The staff is very nice, the rooms spacious, very well decorated. Very nice pool and garden. Thé breakfast is great (lot of choose, minute made) . Easy to Park. No restaurant but easy to déliver food directly to thé room. I Highly recommend

I've stayed in some beautiful hotels in my time but this one is way up there. The staff are exceptionally lovely and friendly and can't do enough for you. The accommodation is fantastic, spotlessly clean and luxurious - the shower is bigger than my first apartment! You overlook the jungle and hear the frogs, monkeys and birds and this morning at breakfast a little sloth was hanging nearby. I will be sad to leave tomorrow.

My wife and I are finishing our 4 nights at Hotel Plaza Yara, and it has been a wonderful stay. The hotel is conveniently located near Manuel Antonio National Park, and some excellent beaches about a 10 to 15 minute drive by car depending on traffic. They’re also a number of very good restaurants nearby. The service and the breakfast are excellent. We particularly loved the view of the jungle from our outside porch, and the intimate setting of the pool, surrounded by jungle as well. The room was very spacious and well equipped, overall very good value. I would like to specifically mention Nelson at the front desk and went out of his way to help us.

Hotel Plaza Yara is very conveniently located to Manuel Antonio National Park, beaches, and restaurants. My family of 4 stayed in Casa Pinar which is a stand alone house with its own driveway next to the main hotel. It is very spacious, clean and modern with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, kitchen with an island, dining table, living room and outdoor patio. We enjoyed having such a luxurious place to relax in after a day of activities. You will see toucans, scarlet macaws, hummingbirds, monkeys from the patio! The pool is lovely as well as their breakfasts and all their staff. Highly recommend.

We can’t say enough about our stay at Plaza Yara. We stayed there at the beginning and the end of our time in Manuel Antonio. Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were super accommodating. They helped us book some amazing tours. The pools and lounge areas are lovely. I highly recommend you stay there.
