Overall, really clean and nice resort to stay in The cleaners do a fantastic job, and reception /concierge staff are very helpful The resort is very secure, and security do a great job of keeping the site safe Food could have been a bit better, as we tried various cafe’s and restaurants in the hotel. Ended up eating outside of the restaurant more than we would have liked to

Enjoyed a week of relaxation and was completely pampered by every team member we came across. Our room was kept immaculate by Mina who surprised me on my birthday with rose petals, heart shaped cushions and balloons decorating the bed (along with inventive towel folding). Mina always met us with a big smile and could not do enough to help. I was also surprised later in the day with a visitor singing happy birthday to me and the gift of a birthday cake. (My husband had no idea how this came about so all down to the great team and their attention to detail!!). Abanoud (pool bar) could not have done any more to keep us hydrated bringing cocktails, beers etc while keeping a constant eye on our needs. Kaheer (waves bar) also dropped in past with beverages - always keen to help. We befriended Waleed in the restaurant who went above and beyond daily to provide a great variety of culinary specialties. (Chinese, Indian, Lebanese, Egyptian). The massage team were particularly friendly and we enjoyed two fabulous body massages whilst there. All in all - this made our first visit to Sharm amazing and we would love to come back one day.

We have stayed at Monte Carlo for a week now and below is my review of the hotel itself. Upon arrival, you are greeted with cool towels and a welcome beverage. From here the experience I would say is fine. The hotel guests are 90% Russian, so being English, we felt like we were on an alien planet. There were multiple occasions every day where they would also speak to staff like rubbish, the majority of them are extremely rude. We relished in hearing other British guests. We heard 3 English families out of our week stay. Every single other person was Russian. It did also seem that the hotel catered more toward the Russians and English is not well-spoken for most of the employees at the hotel. The entertainment is quite poor, the music by the pool is the exact same playlist every single day as well as the fever dream-esque music in La Café that is played on a never-ending loop, comprising of Con te Partiro and We are the World. After day 3, I’d already had enough of it. By day 7 it just really annoyed me. The evening entertainment was extremely poor, the ‘Light Show’ was genuinely a guy in a black suit with an LED ***** wrapped around him twirling some light sticks for 20 minutes; it was laughably underwhelming and a little embarrassing to call it entertainment for a 5-star resort. One thing to note if you have an intolerance. There are ZERO allergen cards on the food and they rarely had the correct English name against the food tray. The actual food being given was a 5/10, very basic and nothing special at all. The room itself was also not overly impressive for a ‘Superior Sea View’ room. There was nothing overly noteworthy about it and the view wasn’t the greatest as a lot of buildings were in the way. Also, do NOT use the Hotel’s taxi service. They want on average $10 single way to Soho square which is ridiculous. Use the app InDrive and you can get a taxi to you within minutes to take you to Soho Square for £2.50. My partner also got food poisoning on the 5th day and was ill for the rest of the holiday. We believe it to have been raw egg from the omelette. I didn't get ill as I am allergic to Egg, so this was the only possibility as we ate the same other than this. This did put a huge dampener on the holiday as she was constantly taking herself to the toilet for the following 3 days. Pros: - well kept grounds constantly being tended to - most staff are pleasant and happy to help (with the little English they have) - The cleaner, I believe his name was Ayad did a fantastic job and added different fixtures to our bed every time we came back from lunch. - Hotel remembered our birthday and provided a cake - Food rotation on a daily basis was ok. - Large heated pool Cons: - 95% rude Russians. - Employee's English is very poor - Food complexity/rotation quite poor - Entertainment is poor - If you have an allergy, there is no labeling. Also, the cards against the food were normally wrong. - Not enough tongs, a lot of cross-contaminatio

Amazing hotel. Brilliant staff who looked after us from the moment we arrived onwards. Arrived on the first night late, but were greeted to staff who gave us a lovely cocktail and whisked our cases away. We were offered to pay slightly more for an upgraded room which we took. Well worth the money. If they offer you the upgrade just do it. Room was stunning and spacious, huge bed, great amenities and lots of toiletries. Separate washroom and shower, and great view from the balcony. Always kept lovely and clean and some great towel art to come back too!

brilliant hotel. from the moment we arrived we were treated amazingly by all the very attentive staff. room was stunning, very spacious with great sea view. the cleaners are on the ball, never come back to a dirty room and always love to see what new towel animal is going to be left for us on the bed! food was okay, but could be better selection. otherwise a brilliant hotel and well worth the money. if you get offered the royal upgrade for your room just say yes

2nd time we’ve been to this hotel 17 years apart and our return this year was as wonderful as we remembered. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept. The pools were nice and quite and fabulous for all the family. Special shoutout to Hany at the patio bar. He makes the best cocktails and is so friendly and always greets everyone with a great smile. Also Sammie our house keeper who was always so attentive and polite. Highly recommend the la luna restaurant for a special meal serving 5 courses of exceptional food. Would definitely recommend.

This was my first visit to Egypt and definitely will not be my last. The staff can't do enough for you, they are all so friendly, funny and polite. The food in the main restaurant is OK and basically the same most evenings apart from fish night then they go all out. The Italian restaurant is superb, from staff to food, so worthy of the small surcharge, a must in my opinion . The entertainment staff work tirelessly and once again are really friendly especially Chloe aka Cleo an English young lady who is very chatty and caring. Loads to keep you busy, stretching, water aerobic, volleyball, sports day and most popular foam party every Thursday. The coral reef right at the end of the pier is also a must, free equipment, warm sea and beautiful colourful fish . I would recommend this hotel, the staff do really look after you to make your stay a perfect holiday.

Very nice hotel. Many good food. Good and friendly stuff. Animators always making good job. You can go with animators to the club with extra charge We had a good fun. Near the sea, good place to snorkling and diving. Beach i bery specific. It’s like shelves

Halfway through a wonderful stay at the Monte Carlo. Beds are massive and comfortable, food average ( probably the only slight downside to the hotel ) staff amazing,grounds immaculate and the massages are sooo cheap. Can’t go wrong here,absolutely lovely
