There was no food available in hotel and no restaurant or store close by. When I asked the bartender just pointed outside
In the room the phone did not work, a glass shelf was broken, a light switch was broken by the bed

Nice staff, shower okay, rooftop terrace restaurant okay open until 1pm only. Room was Motel 6 quality in remote location. Taxi required for anything you do. Cable TV out 4 days and running. Tiny bathroom. No chairs, glasses, refrigerator. Door locks at 11pm.

The rooms were clean and stocked with soaps and lots of towels. The air conditioner worked great. They have a beautiful pool but we spent most time at the beach!! The best part about the hotel was the AMAZING STAFF!! The beautiful queen (Olga?) at the front desk was always above and beyond nice. She even helped me carry my bag up two flights of stairs. The staff in the restaurant were beyond amazing..the food was fresh!! Best coffee and Barista in Puerto!! The server JJ was the epitome of EXCELLENCE in customer service!! The only thing was location wasn’t near to much so needed to taxi everywhere short rides. Thanx to this AMAZING Team they all work so hard and we are grateful!! LOVE AND LIGHT💜💫

Very loud in all common areas from external noises, not the fault of the hotel but made it difficult to work and sleep.

We stayed at Shavanna for 11 nights in August and it was such a great experience. The hotel is very nicely designed, very nice upstairs lounge/dining area, great breakfast, very clean. It was mostly quiet during the low season we visited which we enjoyed. And we were most thankful to the staff who were very pleasant, friendly and eager to help. We enjoyed chatting with Eddie who helped us out with getting to know the town, find us services we needed & provided great recommendations overall.

We have been so glad that we ended up booking our stay at Shavanna. There are lots of other accommodation types in Puerto Escondido, but the hotel was the best option for us. It has a very nice feel & design, a great breakfast & dining/lounge area on the top floor and great staff. The location was very good - it's minutes away from the centre which we visited often, 15-20 minutes walk from Rinconada where there are lots of restaurants & cafes and the 2 best beaches: Carrizallilo & Playa Manzanillo. We especially wanted to thank Eddie Diaz for assisting us in navigating around Puerto Escondido & making best arrangements with local service providers. He was extremely patient, courteous & friendly. We look forward to visiting Puerto Escondido and staying at Shavanna again.
