Crystal Cove by Elegant Hotels - All-Inclusive

We stayed here for 2 weeks and it was incredible!! Yes, Barbados is stunning but the hotel and staff made our stay even better. The staff were so attentive and caring, massive shout out to Stefano, Kathy, Richard and Mikayla. Rooms were clean and tidy, grounds were well kept, beach was clean and the food was amazing, plenty of options and so tasty. Parts of the hotel are tired and dated but it adds to the Caribbean charm. They are closing Feb 2025 for renovations, if they weren't closing, we would of already booked but we are going to have to wait until 2026! Thanks to everyone at Crystal Cove, we won't forget you.

Quaint hotel. Excellent service by all the staff. Clean modern rooms. Excellent menu options in the restaurants. Cave bar, Drifters bar, coffee wine bar excellent drink service. Older property needs some updates. Would definitely book this resort again.

Like many I am surprised at the negative reviews as I’ve just returned from a wonderful stay with my mum! Yes the rooms and hotel decor is a little dated, but the fabulous service more than outweighs this! Important to stress the accommodation/rooms are big, have wonderful views and spotlessly clean! This extends to the facilities with a spotless pool and clean/tidy areas around the hotel. Food was fab with lots of choice at the restaurant that was open for lunch or dinner - a passing comment would be to have not restaurants open in the evening for more choice but appreciate it was low season. Particular shout out to Lisa in the front desk who was a gem! But all the staff were engaging and genuinely seemed to care! Will be coming back after the refurbishment!

Fantastic holiday We had the most fantastic time at Crystal Cove, I really don’t understand the negative comments about this hotel- yes it needs some updating in places but all the staff know this and it is happening next year, however Marriott please don’t change this place too much and take away the wonderful charm and character it has. All the staff here are a real credit - so polite and the smiles and laughter is sooo welcoming. I would love to mention everyone but couldn’t get all the names: Sasha you are delightful and gave me the best goodbye hug, Dwana, Tanya thankyou. Shelley, Toni and Tanisha in the coffee shop, Tia on reception ( hope you are enjoying the books) Richard- you are perfect for your role and we so enjoyed the chats with you, you are so personable and approachable striving to do the best for guests. The food here is excellent and plentiful, again take no notice of the negative comments, outstanding Al A Carte most days. We had a lovely view of the hotel gardens and sea from our room which was spacious and kept clean, with bed and towels changed daily. Mini fridge restocked daily with soft drinks. The watersports facilities (which is free) on the beach run by Joe and the boys is a lovely addition. Also the water taxi between Crystal Cove and Waves is fabulous. I so enjoyed singing along with Derek and his music. My one tip would be to include information on arrival of local area/a map- include local supermarket, medical centre, dentist, bus times etc. We can’t thank you enough for our wonderful holiday, you were everything we wanted and more on our Barbados holiday. Although I didn’t want to leave, as Sasha told me, you have to leave to come back again! And we will. See you soon

Crystal Cove is a delight to stay at. Staff are truly exceptional, service from Sasha, Stephen, Delores, Allison and Dawna in particular was excellent . The vibe around the hotel is warm and friendly. Food was much improved from when we stayed a few years ago and was delicious.

We stayed in August and had a truly magical experience. The staff are a true credit to the hotel and really made our holiday. So attentive and showed genuine care and interest. We know the hotel is due a refurb and hope this only enhances the real charm. We are back over 1 month now and miss everything and everyone. Crystal Cove has a special place in our hearts

This is NOT a premium hotel. On the first night of our stay we were greeted by some very large cockroaches in our room. When reported we were told they were dealing with a cockroach problem in other rooms causing them to scatter. A few days later while having drinks by the pool in the evening, another cockroach ran up my husbands leg and on our last evening they were very present in Reflections restaurant. I have visited the Caribbean on many occasions and have never seen one cockroach in any of the properties I have stayed in. The safe in our room was secured to the shelf but the shelf was not secured to anything meaning the safe could easily be removed. The lock on our ground floor balcony door was a metal bar that we had to slot into the broken handle, not what you would expect in a “Premium hotel”. The food was of poor quality and limited choice. Reflections restaurant is dull and dingy urgently needing complete refurbishment. At the outside restaurant which mainly served lunch, the deserts were left in full sunshine. The spoons were untouchable they were so hot. There were no niceties in the room, slippers, shower cap, cotton buds and cotton pads, all items you would expect in a premium hotel. We were left two small bath towels, one hand towel and sometimes a face cloth in our bathroom. There is no resort shop. Never have I stayed in a hotel where the guests are expected to stand aside to let the staff pass, very rude. On the positive side, yes there is one, there were certain members of staff who were fantastic. Cathy in the restaurants is a credit to the hotel. She was very friendly and helpful while always remaining professional. Raheim in the coffee shop is such a lovely man, very chatty and friendly and always very welcoming. This hotel is advertised as an Elegance Hotel but is actually owned by Marriott. I would rate this hotel as a 3.5 star and would definitely not rate it as a “Premium Hotel”. Re the review of c4trader August 2024, I am glad to see there are still some genuine reviews about this hotel. Please save your money and book a different hotel on this lovely island. But not a Marriott, they still trade under Elegant Hotels.

We just returned from a two week stay at Crystal Cove,Yes it does need upgrading but it didnt affect our stay.Our room was cleaned each day and the bed was comfortable,The grounds are very well maintained but could do with some extra lighting on the foothpath to the rooms(210) area.We had some really good meals at reflections and some that were ok.Breakfast was good.We met some lovely staff who were friendly and helpful,Mykala is a gem who came to chat to us most days as did Richard,Really nice people.Stephen who brings drinks,ice lollies and ice cream to the guests by the pool and beach every day is a diamond,its a lovely touch as is the free water sports,we had a lot of fun doing various water sports.The entertainment is pretty decent too,all in all we had a lovely time even though Crystal cove wasnt our original choice of hotel,the hurricane altered that but we enjoyed our time here.We really love Barbados and the beautiful,friendly,helpful people we met at various different locations on the west side of the island. Thank you all at Crystal cove for a really chilled holiday.

Really pleasant hotel with everything required for a nice family holiday. All the staff were happy and helpful and the beach was immaculate. All water sports were free and unlimited as part of the AI package. Wide range of drinks and food was plentiful if a little repetitive. The rooms were neat and tidy but require some updating of the plumbing system. The housekeeping was of a good standard and on a daily basis. There are plans afoot for a refurbishment of the hotel next year which is needed in some of the outside spaces. Overall a great little place
