Charles Bridge Hostel & Apartments

Old building but generally clean environment. Good location, can go to other attractions on foot.

A nice little hostel right by Charles Bridge that offers a great variety of rooms. We went here as a group of 15, and were able to book the 7 bedroom as well as a 4 bedroom apartment, 2 bed bedroom, and 2 separate single rooms. The hostel was very clear when communicating, and the guys that showed us the rooms were very polite and inviting, making our stay all the more pleasant. I stayed in the 4 bed apartment, and I will say it is definitely not a hostel that is accessible to people with mobility issues as there are steps to every room no matter what you book. Our room was right at the top, so we had a couple of flights of stairs to climb but it is not something I would complain about personally. Staff was nice when an incident happened in the 7 room as one of the bed frames broke which was clearly due to wear and use of it, but staff were understanding and apologetic, and while we were out exploring they even changed the bedframe and replaced it with a metal one in a short amount of time. Reception was very helpful when asking for directions and suggestions, and right across the hostel there is a grocery store should you wish to cook in either a shared kitchen or private one.

I've been staying in hostels around the world for 20 years and I would go as far as saying this is about the perfect hostel. Arriving after hours and still received the most friendly of welcomes and was shown to my room. Room was spacious despite bing an eight bed dorm, beds were comfortable and unlike many hostess towels were provided for free. Location is perfect, right at the foot of Charles Bridge and just a short walk to Old Town and all visitor attractions. Good showers, bathroom and kitchen with nice space to chill out. Receptionists were VERY helpful and a special shout out to Lucas and Maddie who were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Shops right outside and tram a shot walk away. Can't fault this place one bit.
