The staff is always friendly and willing to help, top grades to them! The location has plus and minus. Unless your in one of the cabs that has special permission to enter Flores street, you are going to have to haul bags from a fair distance. Once there, it’s close to many cool things by foot. The rooms are a bit dated, but hey, it’s a 500 year old building! Highly recommend visiting the garden!

The hotel is tucked away on a semi-private road in the heart of downtown. It is close to virtually everything, if you don't mind walking. It runs parallel to one of the main arteries of the city, so navigating is simple. My stay included breakfast... let the eating begin. (My rating would be higher if the hotel had a better gym. I like to workout on vacation.)

We stayed for a weekend - had one of the simpler apar**ents with a living room and bedroom for myself, wife and adult son. All well in the rooms although both beds were bed settees. Little kitchen with coffee etc. This hotel has a small front but then expands over a large area with a rooftop garden bar. The area outside the hotel is very busy and mostly just for pedestrians but taxis can drop you off outside. Nice breakfast in pleasant room. We were in a room on the third floor and there was quite a bit of noise from the fourth floor bar - this went on until 11.00pm. Even with windows shut the music was loud. I guess loud music may not be an issue for younger people and it did go off eventually.

Comfortable stay, helpful and friendly staff, great central location, good value breakfast and a nice rooftop bar with a garden area that was relaxing to sit in and chat in the evening and after breakfast and look over at the cathedral view or enjoy the fountain. Room/apar**ent was clean, and bed comfortable although one of my pillows a bit old I think. There is a gym with cycle, cross-trainer and running machine but an oddly random and very limited selection of free weights. There was no drinking water in the gym when I visited. We didn't try the spa/massage facilities, which are an advertised attraction. Bathroom towels seemed to be replaced whether placed on the floor or not. Guests departing by taxi on a weekend would be advised to allow plenty of time as traffic was heavy and traffic control system allowing selective access via a retractable bollard seemed not to work well so our taxi arrived over 20 minutes after the time arranged.

This is a lovely hotel in a central location of Porto and perfect for a weekend trip where you want to be able to walk everywhere. Nice room though limited space to hang/place clothing. More noise from street than expected in a pedestrian zone, since trash collection was very noisy. Good breakfast, but coffee could be better.

Good location in the middle of historic Porto…within walking distance to river and cathedral. Breakfast was decent. The room was nice but we did not receive the room I originally booked. Spa was ok and rules about swim cap are not enforced by staff. Noise from street through windows. Nice garden but be prepared to climb steps.

The pictures of the hotel doesn’t do it justice! The room was much bigger and nicely decorated. Location is fantastic. Would stay here again when returning to Porto.

The hotel is on a walking pedestrian street. The cabs can come in to drop you off but most of the time there are not any cars on the street! We had a room with a small balcony (not sitting, just standing) but you could watch the people on the street below. The room was nice, the people were great and the area was perfect. We took a wine tour and the meeting place was a very short (5 minutes) walk from the hotel. There were lots of restaurants and cafes and shops in the area. We would stay here again!
