Our experience at Settlers Drift was truly unforgettable. The lodge is absolutely stunning, providing incredibly spacious accommodations with beautiful views. The food was exceptional, featuring fresh and diverse menus daily. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment throughout our stay, even surprising my husband with a birthday cake and song. We enjoyed every safari drive, which offered some great game viewing opportunities. I would recommend Settlers Drift to anyone seeking an extraordinary bush getaway. The boat transfer from the jetty was a memorable highlight, adding to the excitement of arriving at the lodge. My only regret is not staying an extra night or two.

Went to Settlers Drift as part of our honeymoon. From start to finish the service and experience was exceptional! The game drives were amazing, Richard, our guide, his knowledge was above and beyond, and we had the most amazing experiences seeing so many animals. The best moment was seeing Cheetah and 2 cubs swimming across the river!!

Cannot rate the staff, facilities and my experience of Kariega Game Reserve high enough. I had an amazing 4 day stay at the property and did not want to leave. Each drive was an adventure and on our return each time we were welcomed backed to the lodge by the team. Our guide Forest was amazing, had real passion for the animals, their well being and conservation. Would definitely recommend a stay at Kariega Game Reserve.

The welcome, care and attention we were given was superb. What a team works here! 10/10! The catering is excellent - delicious food and the hot drinks machine ‘help yourself’ was most welcome. As for the safari experiences- what to say? Just stunning. Matthew, our ranger host, is one of the nicest people I’ve met. He educated us along the way and went out of his way to make sure we were a very happy family: grandparents, parents, aunt, uncle and toddler! Brilliant - thank you, Matthew

We did 3 nights at Kariega and really enjoyed the experience. Good quality accomodation, great food and a wonderful safari experience. Tip - the road from Port Elizebeth to Kariega is a really good quality road. We opted for a private transfer, as we were unsure if the roads would be safe to drive or not. If we were doing this again, we would 100% rent a car at PE airport and drive the 90 min journey ourselves, as the private transfer was expensive.

An excellent lodge, great for groups and families. The main lodge rooms are spacious, private with lovely views. The pool area is great to relax at between activities. Our guide, Margeau was fantastic. We had very good encounters of giraffe, eles, lion and cheetah plus rhino. I had a wonderful massage at the spa and the boma night was fun.

Although initially felt expensive this amazing all inclusive safari lodge was well worth it and actually good value for money when considering what you get. Beautiful site, plentiful food, game drives that provided memorable experiences, and impressive accommodation.
