I enjoyed it very much. Could have had more shuttles to take you to the top in the afternoon and evening so didn’t have to wait so long.

The romantic room with a veiw was awesome. Spacious with the a/c working great. Beautiful patio door opened to a private balcony with a beautiful ocean view.
The staff tried very hard to give us different food choices at the restaurant. Fernanda was great in helping us with reservations. Service for dinner at the restaurant was always great with Ramon.
Liquor choices were very limited, and they constanly ran out of prefered choices. The beach bar, that was supposed to be an upgraded bar, was out of wine at sunset.

I felt deceived when I arrived. The place is run down and the ad pics they use are definitely from when the place was thriving. The all-inclusive is a waste of money. They serve the same meals at the buffet—which are not good—there is no variation. There is a ton of cross contamination going on with the use of one grill for all meals. There are other “restaurants” but if you look at my Google review you will see more information about that. My husband ended up getting very sick by day 5. We had to have a doctor come to our room, go to the pharmacy and he had to get shots and medication. We spent $250 on getting him well & missed out on our zipline tour. We stayed away from the hotel food & water they served the rest of the trip. The people who work there are not friendly—especially at the front desk. Hardly any English speakers at all. We did meet one girl and I slipped her some money the first day and she took care of us—even talking to the supervisor to get us a doctor. She checked on us the next day—no one else at the front desk cared. Also, they do not keep track of you going in and out, which is kind of scary.
We tried to not let this detour our trip or get us down, until we got sick. After talking to a ton of locals—people at pharmacy and a restaurant right down the way called Ginger (so good!!)—we realized that it is very common at that resort. I promise you, you will be disappointed unless you have very low standards.

This property is on a very steep hill. The only good way to get to the beach or from the rooms back up to the pools is by shuttle. I was at the property for 3 nights. I had no hot water the entire stay. I reported it in the morning after the 1st and 2nd nights. They provided only 1 washcloth even though there were 2 people in the room. I reported this also and finally got a second washcloth when I happened to catch the housekeeper in the area of my room. When I checked out after 3 nights, I again reported the lack of hot water. The desk clerk did not seem concerned. Overall, it was not a terrible property, but I would still rate it as below average.

Small resort was nice and it was clean. Staff was not organized at times with some dumb rules and food was not up to standard in my opinion.

The food is fair, some things didn’t work like light in kiitchen, staff not friendly, especially food staff, we had to find out where thing was offered, minimal assistance by staff, hard to make dinner reservations at special restaurants, & floors need to be cleaner.

The property is terraced down a steep hillside, so the views are incredible. The food is delicious and the water is potable. There is a little truck shuttle that goes around the property but I preferred to walk to the main resort from my bungalow duplex unit. The rooms are older and dated but very serviceable. The beds are basic but pretty comfortable. There is AC in the bed room and the living room. Plus a small patio out front. There a two cats that roam the main area of the resort. They are very friendly and will try to get you to feed them. I also saw iguanas, Varigated squirrels, birds, raccoons, and heard lots of frogs. The beach is decent but the water has rip current, so swimming isn’t really recommended. There are 5 pools to enjoy and plenty of cabana space in the shade. The nightly entertainment starts at 8:30. The spa is a highlight and you can schedule unlimited trea**ents for $285 per day. The Unique Costa Rica tour company will try to make you go to a time share presentation but just say no thank you. The transportation is easy to locate at the airport and the vehicles are clean.
