Bupitanga Hotel

The hotel is beautifully built with natural stone, wood and tropical garden. The bungalows are large and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and nice. The food is delicious. I also liked that there is a game room and library. There are some stairs that you can use carefully to go down to the beach.

Our family of 7 spent two weeks over Christmas and New Year in Brazil travelling around and all voted this their favourite hotel. The setting is amazing - a five minute Uber from the hubbub of town and in a lovely garden above a deserted beautiful beach. The rooms were great and the staff super friendly and helpful. Prices were reasonable. Highly recommend.

Great facilities: pool, sauna, private pool, jacuzzi room's bathroom. Excellent food and drinks! Perfect to relax and enjoy you time around pipa in couple or in family. Octopus risotto is a must try as well as the signature drinks server on the pool bar.

Fabulous facilities, courteous, attentive, staff, and a lush tropical setting on the beautiful coast near Pipa should all add up to five stars… But the place is so miserably managed that a rating of three is generous! Our first night in our dimly lit bungalow we started feeling things crawling while we were in bed: we switched on the lights and realized that there were hundreds if not thousands of carpenter-like ants crawling all over the bed and the nightstands. We called the front desk that offered to help by sending someone, but we were not comfortable with the idea of maintenance coming in at that hour, and we simply asked to have it sprayed thoroughly in the morning. They did indeed spray the next day and over the next few days of our stay, we only saw a Dozen or so. We were on vacation so don’t want to make ourselves miserable by complaining or Arguing. We discovered that in this hotel, being nice doesn’t get you very far: we asked for a simple late check out of one hour at the end of our stay, and while no one could guarantee that throughout our stay, but felt it was a reasonable request since check-in time is 2 o’clock, and if we left the room at one they would still have one complete hour in which to clean and ready it. I found it pretty disgusting that the manager of specifically refused our late check out request after we so kindly and quietly tolerated their ant hotel which was rankest ha. 50% occupancy. We discovered while talking to many of the help at the hotel that management has their own rigid ideas about things to the very detriment of the occupancy rate of this hotel. During our stay the restaurant was always empty (other than during the morning breakfast which is included). This could be because their prices were outrageous and their menu was ill matched with their clientele and region. A wine list that starts at 100. Reais a bottle is pretty excessive in Brazil, and, judging by the hotel clients that were present, people are happy to dine outside the hotel at all meals other than breakfast. It Also could be that the few guests at the hotel chose to dine elsewhere because it was so dark in the restaurant that you could not see the menu.

This is a lovely boutique hotel located in the tourist town of Pipa, in Rio Grande do Norte. They have a total of 30 bungalows, and half of them have private pools. We opted for a bungalow with a pool and it was worth the difference in price (which wasn’t much). The room had a king-sized (and very comfortable) bed; the room was large and very attractive; the bathroom has a tub for two. The manager told me the hotel has been open about 6 years, but it took the owners about 15 years to grow all the plants on the grounds. There are coconut trees, orchids, many flowering tropical plants and lovely lawns for you to enjoy. “Bupitanga” means “red land” in Tupi-Guarani (the language of the indigenous Indians of Brazil). They probably gave it this name because the hotel sits on a high red clay plateau above the beach (called the Chapadão, or “plateau”). The hotel manager Cleber, our waitress Carol and the waiter at the pool (Charles) as well as the staff at the reception were all incredibly professional, friendly and helpful and added to a wonderful experience.

The property is very well-maintained. It is like a dream jungle, with all kinds of palm trees, flowers, and if you pay attention you will see little monkeys! The swimming pool is huge, but even better we had our own private pool! The breakfast was amazing with so many options of delicious foods, fruits, pastries and drinks. Right out of the gate you are at the famous Chapadão, and there is a "private beach" down hill if you dare to climb the stairs built on the rocks. It's worth it! Walk distance to Praia do Amor and Praia de Minas. Not an ideal walk distance to the center but doable. However you can easily take a taxi ride and be at the center in 5-10 minutes for R$20. Most of all I am very thankful for the stuff, who were very accommodating, especially Kleber, the manager.

Bupitanga is absolutely amazing! This place deserve all stars! The location is stunning right on top of the chapadão and still close enough to everything and restaurants. Staff is amazing and the attention to details at this hotel is incredible. We have nothing but good things to say! Definitely worth it!

Adoramos a experiência do começo ao fim. Hotel sossegado, bem charmoso com uma vegetação exuberante entre os bangalôs. Bangalô extremamente espaçoso, bem limpo e cheiroso. Funcionarios cordias, simpaticos, extremamente pró ativos. Destaque especial p Carla ( café da manhã) e Walide ( recepção). Hotel em cima de uma falesia... paisagem linda... Café da manhã excepcional... tudo fresco, produzido artesanalmente no hotel... o q conferia um sabor e cuidados especiais... O restaurante serve pratos deliciosos e com uma apresentação linda.
