Fantastic Stay in the Heart of the Old Town Pingyao Garden Inn is a charming and authentic homestay, perfectly located in the middle of the old town. Despite being so central, it’s surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful retreat after exploring the ancient streets. The hosts are incredibly friendly and even offer discounts at local restaurants, adding extra value to the stay. A special mention goes to their adorable poodle-cross dog, Honey, who adds a warm and homely touch to the place. The rooms maintain a traditional style with old-style beds and pillows filled with wheat—something to keep in mind as the beds are on the firmer side. However, the modern ensuite, heating, electric blankets, and provided toiletries ensure a comfortable stay. Overall, Pingyao Garden Inn is a great value-for-money option for those looking to experience a classic, cozy stay with welcoming hosts in an unbeatable location. Would definitely recommend!

First of all: the owners get a 10/10. they are an old couple, super sweet and try to give you the best stay as possible. They cannot speak English which led to a laughing moment as they where translating Chinese into Spanish which we cannot speak. A few things to consider: the rooms are small which is usually super okay for us. We don’t need much room and price as well as location was great. It still became a bit of an issue in our situation as it was pouring rain and the rooms is directly entered from the outside area. There is no space to leave wet shoes outside or much space to hang wet clothes. So this might not be an issue if you visit in summer. It really depends an is an subjective view. The reason for a lower rating of cleanliness is, that the first room, they gave us, was spelling so bad that the first thought was „good that we only stay for one night“ and the second „how will we be able to get this out of our clothes“. We are backpackers… After we when through the old town, we came back and the lady must have noticed our discomfort and asked if we would like to change the room. We did so as the second room was still smelling a bid old but totally acceptable for the ancient building. The room was much better even though there was still dust on some of the desks so we wipes it first before putting stuff on it. Again, 10/10 for the kind and friendly hosts. On a sunny day, the experience might have been positive on all the topics but we have to be honest…

A cool historic place to stay in this historic city, with really helpful staff — they will go above and beyond to make your stay a success! The only downside is the room smells strongly of mothballs, and it was a week or two before it finally came out of my clothes.

The owners are very kind, they help us a lot! The hotel is situated in the old town and the room was very nice and very typical. The ratio quality/price is excellent

房間很乾凈，在古城的中心，四合院的，院子裏種了綠植，房東給我們介紹了遊玩的路線，特別的貼心，並且到各個景點都很近，離縣署，票號，鏢局等都是幾分鐘的路線，到主街上也很近，鬧中取靜的位置。推薦大家，我們還會選擇這裏的

古城裡麪的房間，位置去古城玩特別方便。房東阿姨人特別好，早餐好吃，尤其是阿姨以及炸的油條，比外邊賣的那種好吃多了，建議嘗試下。

客棧是當地的民宅，院子挺大的，坐在院子裏面很舒服，房間很整潔，住的是當地特色的土炕房，房東阿姨做的早餐味道超好，值得推薦!房東推薦的餐廳味道也很好，

La ubicación muy céntrica, el personal muy dispuesto y atento. Por el precio está muy bien la experiencia de dormir en una cama tradicional, pero las instalaciones están viejillas.

Un angolo di Cina antica nella città vecchia, una casa vera e propria. I proprietari sono stati di una gentilezza sconvolgente. Mi hanno aiutato a ritirare i soldi in banca che per uno straniero non è cosa semplice anzi. Ci hanno aiutato a capire cosa fare cosa mangiate di tipico e ci hanno dato dei buoni per un ristorante convenzionato dove si mangia molto bene, sono cortesi e hanno un tablet con scritte in inglese..pagando pochissimo. Assolutamente consigliato. Grazie ancora vi porteremo nel cuore

Muy majos! Todo genial, la cama un poco dura, pero lo demás genial, nose si son las camas originales de esa región, pero para nuestro gusto un poco dura la cama! Pero repito, por lo demás todo un 10/10

Localizado dentro da cidade murada, acessa facilmente restaurantes e outras atrações. Família que cuida do local foi bem simpática. Nos deram mapas e mostraram os principais pontos. O quarto é novo e o banheiro é ótimo. Ótima estadia
