We'd been to the Lakeside Lodge for lunch a few times before and were happy to return as they are good value and have a wider vegetarian menu than most. It was our Mum's 88th birthday and the staff kindly took the cake we'd brought with us and presented it at just the right moment. Overall the service and food were fabulous and the staff went above and beyond - Huge thanks to Stan, Emma and Sarah - gold stars all 'round! See you next time.

Went for a family meal to Lakeside Lodge last night. Unfortunately for us there were several large groups of very loud men which made the place very noisy and difficult to hear what people with us were saying. However the food and service were good and I am sure on a different night the atmosphere would have been very pleasant too.

Having played plenty of golf courses around the country I have to say these have to be the WORST FAIRWAYS I’ve ever been on,the fairways are the same grass Length as the outside rough,hit your ball clean down the middle of the fairway but you can’t find your ball due to the ridiculous length of grass on the fairways,shocking considering they are charging £42 per round,the green keepers (if any) need to step up there game if they expect any repeat visitors,we won’t be returning anytime soon it was awful………

Went for a family birthday, for a couple of rounds of bowling and some golf. Service initially absolutely fine, drinks were served quickly and we got to choose our meal from the menu, they said it would be ready for when we were finished. Unfortunately, I had ordered a coffee with oat milk, and the milk was off and sour. I complained about this and received a replacement drink, but was barely recognised, to the point where I had to check if they'd heard me! Other staff was nice, food was average and service was fast. Nice enough place - just try the milk before you put it in your drink !

Stayed for 1 evening as a stop over between locations. Very friendly staff, welcoming at reception and friendly in the bar and restaurant. The room itself was very spacious in a block of approx 10 rooms around a small courtyard. Room wass a chalet style with all the requirements needed although the TV was a little small as the room was so large. The food in the bar was very good (meat pie and veg) and breakfast freshly cooked on request. The golf course was open but as this was a work trip I didn't get to play but will be back in the months ahead to try one of the courses.

We have stayed here a few times now as it is convenient for family visits. The breakfast is really good. The rooms are comfortable and warm (last days of December!).
Over the years, the management has invested in the site and it now has a gym, which we could have used if we had known about it.
Definitely planning on return visits!

Venue was great. Stayed in a lodge with some nice guys and a couple of absolute wrong’uns.. surprised you had to pay extra each day for the kitchen , unless you knew someone who had a crowbar with them. COURSE: Great layout, terrible tee boxes and greens. They were cutting new holes in the middle of our groups rounds which was strange. FOOD: Food was ok. Lots of choice but some of the meals were average. Service was poor and staff seemed a bit lazy. Drinks were pretty expensive. Could have maybe done a discount of 10% with such a large group staying there. LODGE: they were very hot, some rooms were tiny. Could have done with some bug killers installed. And maybe a dress policy could be applied where men over 50 cannot take their tops off..

The course layout is good but greens and bunkers very very poor and need a lot of work. Also what we found, there was some golfers dressed up in fancy dress, which you don’t expect, one was dressed up as a zoo keeper which we found strange. Just a real shame about the greens and bunkers.

The room was part of many chalets located at im the entrance to the resort and were very spacious and comfortable.
The food in the golf club was excellent and I would stay here again.
The golf club is a 5 minute walk away from the chalet though.
