Centara Kata Resort Phuket

This hotel located in the middle of the Kata Beach so that has good accessibility to restaurants, stores, and cafes. Above all, it provides a variety of fresh and tasty food in the morning. The kind staff will keep your baggage even before the check-in time while you swim in the pool which is big for a group of family. I also played the table tennis.

The Centara Resort in Kata is located just a few minutes away from Kata Beach. Staff was very friendly and helpful. You can rent a scooter from Timmy Timmy which is just down the street. You can reach all nice spots within a few minutes of drive on a scooter and check out all the spots and beaches from there. The Kata walking street just opened and it’s a lot fun. There is a lot of shops and spas in the area. Restaurants is also near the hotel. Would definitely recommend the resort. They have two nice pools which are very well maintained. The hotel rooms are a bit old but definitely clean. Breakfast was good. It could get a bit crowded during breakfast. 9 am is definitely the most crowded time and you might have to wait for a few minutes.

Last leg of our Thailand trip. Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Krabi, and then Phuket. We this place! Family friendly and close to the main ***** and beach!!!

The hotel is beyond praise. The poor and the entertainment facilities are very applicable. It's not far from the beach and everything you need is around the corner. The only downside is that the only night we stayed at around 7 AM we heard an alarming siren is very noisy we don't know where it from but we were awaken in the morning

We have stayed in one one-bedroom suite as a family with 2 kids for 15 days between 26.01-10.02/2024. We are very glad that we have decided to stay at KATA (instead of Patong and even Karon) and we have booked our family holiday in CENTARA KATA RESORT. It is correct that the hotel needs renovation in certain areas (about other comments) but it did not cause any downside for us. The room was nice and everything was functional in the room, the pool was very nice, and the restaurant&services were great...In short, Everything was perfect for us. If we go to Puketh again, we will stay in the Centara Kata Resort for sure. And one note for the Hotel manager from our stay; In the morning of February 8th around 2:15 am, I had to go to the reception and ask for a doctor for my son. The receptionist called the hotel doctor and I decided to take my son to the Bangkok Hospital upon the doctor's suggestion. When I asked help for with a taxi from the receptionist in charge, he said there was no taxi in the hotel. I asked him to call for a taxi but he said he has not any number to call. As a result, I had to carry my son (he is 45 kg and I am 50 years old) on my back from your hotel to Kata Beach ( about 1 kilometer) as I had seen a taxi station there during the day. There were no taxis around of course. I was lucky to come across a kind Thai person there who offered to arrange a taxi with her phone application ("inDrive") and the taxi arrived in 4 minutes. CENTARA must not allow such incidents to happen again to anybody. This is unacceptable without any excuse.

Walk-up apartment kind of accomodation not for elderly and disabled if you get to stay on 2nd. or 3rd. Floor. Staff are courteous and helpful. Rooms are worn off at average condition.

Perfect place for families with kids. Our kid enjoyed the amenities at resort.

When we arrival, it was off-season, and we specifically asked in advance not to give us the last room, but when we came back after the party, they still gave us one last room. And the room is old, the quilt color not white, like that has not been washed for two years. The cold or hot water label of the shower was not clear, so we did not have hot water for bathe in the middle of the night. Only the next day did I find hot water on the other side of remark cold water.Our room was at last, morning walked down the stairs and through the wild grass, Like a wilderness.listening to the noise of singing through a wall at night. We only stayed about 8 hours and checked out. We tipped the staff when we checked in. To be honest, the service was not what I expected.And no next time for check in.Thankz
