We are utterly smitten with Hotel Dena - it has exceeded all our expectations for an artistic, pristine, and laid-back boutique hotel. The hotel was freshly renovated just last year, so every single amenity and piece of equipment is impressively modern. We were arranged in a first-floor ”small loft” room complete with a private balcony - undoubtedly one of the highlights of our entire trip. The hotel's decor is nothing short of captivating, with a cinematic ambiance evident throughout the common areas. From the impeccably styled furniture to the mesmerizing artwork and paintings, every design element contributes to an utterly enchanting atmosphere. In fact, I would unhesitatingly award Dena a rating of 6 out of 5 stars to fully convey my deep adoration for this establishment. If we're ever blessed with the opportunity to visit Los Angeles again, Dena will unquestionably be our top choice. 🌹🌹🌹

Our experience with the Howard Johnson has been exceptional with such great quality service! The manager Tommy has been very great and supportive with accommodations pertaining to our family needs in selecting the best room, and receiving the best service. Housekeeping is great, efficient and very kind. Whenever you’re looking for a quality hotel that’s very reasonable in price, The Howard Johnson in Pasadena is it !

很像汽車旅館，但不致於覺得有安全疑慮。只是毛巾上有毛髮，而且大廳的咖啡機跟飲水機喝起來有清潔劑的味道。住了同集團的旅館十幾次，第一次喝到明顯的清潔劑味道，而且是該集團常用的清潔劑味）

Lovely stay. Breakfast was great with loads of options. Nice swimming pool and hot tub open to 10pm which can be a great way to end the day. The only criticism is the parking fee of $35 a day. That's a bit too pricey.

I like the location of the Green Tree, which is near the Del Mar metro station in Pasadena, and convenient for getting to JPL or Caltech. The staff are friendly, the hotel is clean, and they have a nice bowl of fresh fruit available at the check-in. However, I have two quibbles. First, I found the billing to be perplexing. Online travel agencies said I would be charged an extra $5 on site, but in fact I was charged an extra $12.20 (+ a $100 deposit which has not yet been credited back to me). Since I was traveling for work, I needed a $0 balance receipt to document that charge, and the reception staff were unable to provide an appropriate receipt. Second, the room was cold, with air-conditioning set to 64 F when I arrived. I turned off the air conditioning, but I was cold in bed and unable to find a blanket or extra layer. If I stay again, I guess I'll bring my own blankets and will try to book differently (perhaps directly through the hotel) in hopes of getting a receipt that my travel reimbursement folks can process.

The hotel is a bit dated but still nice. The room I stayed was okay and there is enough space to move around. The sheets need a little update. The bathroom is nice and spacious.

Surprisingly this was a quality stay. The service of being checked in was smooth, with kind professionals running the front desk. My only negative was the upstairs occupants. They were constantly stumping and dropping heavy object over our heads, and that became very annoying the night and early morning, especially giving the fact that the rooms weren’t carpeted, so you hear everything little thing. Other than that, a good stay for a night. Also, the room was very spacious. So, and all in all I would stay there again.
