I recently had a delightful stay at Hotel Tentrem in Semarang, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, and their attentiveness truly enhanced our experience. The cleanliness of the rooms and restrooms was impressive, which is always a top priority for me when traveling. The hotel amenities, including the gym, were excellent and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights for me was the delicious breakfast spread. The variety was fantastic, and the quality of the food was outstanding. I also want to give a special shoutout to Ibuk Elfi for her warm hospitality during breakfast. Her cheerful demeanor made our mornings even more enjoyable. As a coffee lover, I was particularly impressed by the skills of Mas Arafi, the barista. I thoroughly enjoyed the cappuccino, mocaccino, and café latte he prepared; each cup was a treat. His knowledge of coffee truly shines through in every sip. Good location, hotel a little old but clean. Complimentary mineral water is restricted to 2 bottles only with only basic in the bathroom (shpoo n shower gel plus tooth brush n tooth paste). Requested for ironing board and iron that took around 45 min n 1 reminder

My fav hotel for staycation in Semarang but this time it’s not my lovely experience. First room I got has leaked aircon, it dripped every second so they offered a new room. In new room, the aircon didn’t work properly but I didn’t want to complain anymore as I didn’t want to change room again and again. Booked with breakfast but they said it’s too few guests on that day so they will just let me choose my breakfast from the menu. Only one menu for each guest. I didn’t like this because the room has no proper table to eat. Even there’s only one chair. So yeah, not my best experience. But maybe I’ll give it another try. This hotel usually offered good service. Maybe just wrong timing and situation for me.

Very good hotel! I would come again. Great location, and great service. Morning breakfast offers varied options as well. Room was big with comfortable bed and pillows. However, it is not perfect. I suggest the hotel management to do deep and chemical washing of the toilets. My room toilet looks grimy and the grout was yellow and dirty. Better care need to be looked into. As for the location, it definitely in a good location. However, it is not a tall hotel with only 5 levels. Hence you will be able to hear the sounds from the road, as well as calls to prayers (as early as 4am). Also, the hotel is next to a big field, and hosted some events. At 6am, they were hosting some exercise group and their microphone was loud. It was not a good nights sleep. Suggestion for the hotel to upgrade and insulate the windows. All in all, I would come back again though. Hope to see many upgrades in the future.

We requested for high floor and good view and we’re obliged. We were told it is the new wing, however it is still somewhat oldish looking, especially the toilet is rather simply furnished. Breakfast spread is alright and has a lot of guest every morning

Close to the train station. AC is perfect. Nice inner courtyard. But bed linens were with few spots and only 2 power sockets were available.
