TTài khoản kháchLovely hotel and great location however the room was disappointing for the price, one of the armchairs was badly damaged and the other brown stains on the material. Sections of wallpaper were peeling off which gave it a very tired appearance.
The iron board was also broke and we had to prop it up on a chair. The room we booked looked nothing like the images on the advertisement and I had to check with reception we had the correct room.
For £330 a night I don’t feel we had a premium room, the staff however were lovely and very welcoming.

Nice grounds, busy carpark and popular venue for parties and business guests.
Carpet on second floor dirty and smells.
Sink kept blocking because plug holes full of scum.
Toilet seat incorrect size and not secured properly.
Bed comfortable, nice towels tea and instant coffee and bottles of water in room.
Breakfast nice selection BUT no fresh decaffeinated coffee only instant granules yuk!!! Nothing worse than awful coffee!!! With so many decent decaffeinated options available and customers not drinking caffeine this is totally unacceptable.

TTài khoản kháchThe staffs are so friendly and helpful. The local is not too far from city centre. We walked to the city centre less than5mins, walk to city wall from the hotel about 15mins but if you walk faster it takes 7-8mins. The breakfast is great.

JJema MayburyStayed here last night, everything was perfect. Our room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for one night. The hotel is close to the city so just an uber ride away. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we opted for the breakfast the next day which was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

DDrVicThe location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around.
In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two.
This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby.
We had to pay £5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didn’t use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed.
In terms of things that could do with improvement:
Cleanliness
The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Year’s Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection.
The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadn’t had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus.
Service
Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way.
Facilities
The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side.
There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub.
Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered.
Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.

TTattyfish89Incredible from start to finish. Slight mix up on the booking system but sorted within minutes. Couldn't have been better looked after! Excellent value, staff that go the extra mile made our 1 night stay so enjoyable the children didn't want to go home!

TTài khoản kháchWhen I used the pool it was virtually empty. I love that it was open until 9pm as it meant I could swim after a long day out.
The room was big and spacious. Only downside is the shower wasn't great, there wasn't much power and the water was too hot. Could have done with having air con or even a fan as it got quite hot in the night.
Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay

TTài khoản kháchFor a normal size breakfast you had to pay extra, the heating was broken in the spa so it was quite cold. The hotel did look a bit tatty in places. Service was lacking, always had to chase the staff members. Lovely building and good location.
