This is a lovely and very special property. The staff is so friendly and helpful (local tips, reservations and late night food and drinks). There are real animals walking free. I recommend staying at least 3 nights here, you will be so relaxed.

This Masseria will not work for everyone. And that is a good thing. Only those who value authenticity will come…hopefully. There are only a handful of rooms available, each unique and decorated in the Salento minimalist and quirky style. The whole operation is under one roof. Small indoor communal area with a working fireplace and 2 bedrooms giving onto the breakfast/bar prep kitchen. Upstairs, a couple of more private rooms. A small indoor pool. Enclosed terrace. And animals! Donkeys, horses, dog and cats. All roaming everywhere. The chef and proprietress live next door and interact deftly with their guests. The breakfast is full of fresh fruit and homemade breads and cakes. Dinner is simple with vegetables and both crudo and grilled fish. Mercedes kindly walked us through each of our day’s itinerary. This is the real deal on all levels.

We had a wonderful stay, never wanted to leave. For us as a family the mornings with all the animals and early breakfast was the best. The service, food and everything else was spectacular. A very unique experience.

Che dire, non vi aspettate il lusso sfrenato, perché non lo troverete, ma troverete sicuramente un gusto country chic, immersi in una vera fattoria con tanto verde introno e animali che si avvicinano a voi in tutta tranquillità. Quello che fa però la differenza sono i proprietari veri e propri anfitrioni che vi consiglieranno su tutto quello che c'è da sapere sul Salento.

Premessa: Arriviamo in Masseria con grandi aspettative. Al nostro arrivo buio totale e desolazione. Ora capisco che siamo a Settembre ma almeno una luce una fiaccola invece nulla. Trovata finalmente “la reception” veniamo accolti da un cocktail di benvenuto: un semplice bicchiere d’acqua. Stanza vintage ok ma con scarsa pulizia del piatto doccia, mancanza di zanzariere e mancanza di un telefono per comunicare con la “reception”. Bello essere immersi nella natura meno bello avere davanti alla camera escrementi di Cavallo e un cane che, per quanto sicuramente innocuo, abbaia impedendoti di uscire dalla Camera. Buona la Colazione e Gentile lo Staff. In sintesi: spropositato il rapporto qualità prezzo (Se pago tanto pretendo tanto).

Se hai bisogno di staccare dalla realtà per qualche giorno e sentirti a casa tua, prova Masseria Prosperi. Vita bucolica, coccolato da Antonio e Mercedes, che ti faranno provare la vita a contatto con la natura. Cibo genuino, camere pulite ed eleganti nella semplicità, personale gentile, cornice da favola.

La Masseria e' splendida e soddisfa appieno le aspettative, anzi direi le supera. I proprietari sono accoglienti, l'ambiente e' rilassato. Location, cibo e ambiente fanno il resto. Lo consiglio a tutti!
