Village Mare

I would recommend the hotel, even though it is not faultless, but we liked the atmosphere. The garden around the two-storey houses is nice,with palms and olive trees. In my opinion is necessary to think about the beach zone.

Bad hotel, unprofessional management. A horrible experience. Messonete room was booked. The clients entered the first such room, it smelled of mold. As they have an asthmatic child and a baby, they went out. The next room they were offered was the one with a very noisy air conditioner, I don't know if the hotel owner can sleep with this kind of noise... in the third offered room, the air conditioner did not work at all, nor could it be repaired. The reservation period is July 2023. They sent the guests to the hotel restaurant "until they solve the problem with themselves". When you pay 300 euros for a room per night, it would be logical for it to be waiting for you after 10 hours of driving. The employees kicked them out of the restaurant because the child took a piece of food from the table. So much for the hotel, management and employees. The guests returned home the same day, they did not stay in the hotel for a single day. The hotel refused to refund the money under the pretext that everything was fine with the rooms and that they would solve all the problems. Poor and shameful. Since I work in an agency, we have compensated the passengers. But it is important to warn people about the scams that the hotel uses.

10 days with familly in Aug. Absolutely fantastic! We were welcomed very warmly, smooth, with a smile. Received the instructions about the hotel (in serbian), and complimentary wine 🍷😊👍 Rooms are laaarge, beds are comfortable, bathroom spatious Air condition working perfect as well as internet, up to the beach... Room cleaned every day, bedings and towels changed every 3 days. The staff is young, they are doing great job, always smiling, always say enjoy, never forget our order. They have a lot of work to be done, but are very dedicated. Food is delicious! Mailny greek, which we enjoyed wery much.Even the kids ate fish and shrimps which they usually don't. The food is always warm and there is plenty. Fresh fruit and salads too, ice cream pretty good, and especially baklava. Brutal!!! Drinks are AI type, but cocktails are very generous I must say 😊 and we loved them In the evening there is children disco, a twice a week live music. The kids also have animators, very kind girls The hotel has 3 pools, with actually warm water. Prefect for the kids, even babies. The beach is not the most beautiful in Sithonia, and it does have rocks, but we liked it since it is quiet and isolated. 2 sumbeds and umrbrella-3e. There is no beach bar but you can bring drinks from the pool bar in the hotel, no problem The beach is 2 min walk down the old dusty road.. Hot sun on your shoulders, eating ice-cream, sparkling blue sea in front... Mmmmmm Being with the car, we went to other beaches (lagomandra, Lagonisi, kalogria) with white sand and turquoise water. They are rather crowded thoug... All in all we are more than satisfied with our stay in this hotel. We had a great time. And for what we were looking for (relaxing family holiday) I would give them 20 out of 10 Thank you Village Mare ❤️❤️❤️

Where do I begin?! This was a rather underwhelming experience and overall a terrible value for money. We came with friends who have been here before and enjoyed their stay three years ago. Not sure if that much has changed in the past few years, but right now I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. First of all, such an old hotel to be rated 4 stars is a joke - everything needs renovation, the reception area, restaurant, dated bathrooms, almost non functional shower, toilet that has years of built up dirt, doors to the rooms that are opening with a key and you need to check three times when closing to ensure it’s actuality closed. We were in a family room and had the loveliest view of the sea and the sunset which we were unable to enjoy due to the aircon set on the terrace, right above the chears which made an impossible noise and was producing tons of heat while on. Walls are paper thin, so if you are surrounded by families with screaming kids or loud and drunk young adults (as we were) don’t expect to get any sleep during the early hours of the night. This hotel is an all inclusive only resort without any option to dine a la cart in the resort itself and as with other such hotels, my expectations were really low. However they even managed to disappoint more than a similar resort I visited years ago in Egypt. Breakfast was okayish but boring - a bunch of deli meat that I had no desire to try, greek cheeses and honey, standard veggies (tomato, cucumber, paprika), Fried eggs, boiled eggs, very dry omelets, some selection of very sugary cereals that you could pair only with sweet greek yogurt and plain milk (and soy/almond milk, ok I have to give tham that). There was a selection of fresh bread and some rather sad pastry that looked and tasted like lidl frozen pastry, and not a single croissant (which even some 3* hotels offer). Fruit selection was wide variety of compote fruits in heavy sugary syrups every day and usually only one variety of fresh fruits interchanged daily between apples, peaches and watermelon. Lunch and dinner had the same concept and were changed daily, but all I can say is from 8 people, only three of us actually tried some of the food, other 5 ate fried potatos, salads and bread for the entirety of our stay there - thats how unappealing most of the food looked. I’ll give you an example - we had salmon for lunch one day and salmon looked gray, that same day for dinner they served tuna which again looked the same tone of gray (salmon should be pink and tuna red, right?). Salmon was fine when you taste it, but tuna was so dry I couldnt even eat one bite. All the meat I tried had tasted the same chicken/beef/lamb/meatballs?! and overall everything was overcooked most of the time. As for drinks, you had to beg waiters to give you a glass of water, having anything else to drink with your meal was a mission impossible. They are obviously trained not to get drinks. Theres so many of them at all meals but all they do is move plates

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. We stayed 7 nights but we didn’t have such a good experience. The hotel is old and the rooms smells like an old building. The worst part is the noises that the air conditioner makes. It is impossible to sleep during the night with that noise. The wireless is very bad. Almost it does not wark at all. The girls that serve at the restorant are so rude. You have to ask them many times if you need something. One day we asked for a donuts at the snack time for our sun 3 years old and the waiters holding the donuts at her hand sad the time is up. I am an animal lover but acording to me is not normal to allow the dog swim at the same pool with the kids like they do The beach is near to the hotel but if you need something to drink you should come back to the hotel in a dusty road. The garden is nice. That is the best part of the hotel.

Everything was different from what is shown in the photos. Very old rooms, food to be desired, broken toilets. People and dogs bathe in the pool. Very rude staff. The rooms are all moldy and smell bad. The mattresses are old and it is better to sleep on a chair. I slept in the car for two nights. even if it was without pay, it is not applied after the holidays are over. After I leave, I need a physiotherapist and a psychologist. it's a bad dream

I don’t recommend at all. They didn’t turned me back any many from the rrom change. Doesn’t deserve four stars. The rooms smelled musty and are very old. You couldn’t breath. The air conditioner made a terrible noise.I booked a room with a kitchen but in the kitchen there was nothing there! There were no plate, no pan , not a fork… you had nothing to cook with at that kitchen. In the room was only one plug You don’t had nowhere to charge the devices. The shower cabin is very small . Only kids can shower there. Is not suitable for strollers. There are only stares. The pools were dirty. The hotel has no camera, There are not responsibility for anything. The activities for children were only half hour and the same songs every night. Everything is economized there te glasses of water, the paper towel.

Hotel is nice, clean and nearby beach. They serve delicious food, not big variety, but always very testy. Best part of the hotel are the girls at the restaurant, especially Aleksandra and Tereza. They are always kind, helpful, fast and hardworking. They made our vacation nice and unforgettable. So thank you girls, and thank you Village Mare, see you again next year.

Comfortable, clean rooms. The location is child friendly. Near the beach. Variety of fresh and good food many congratulations to the Chef of the hotel. Professional staff, helpful and very customer oriented, we also thank Mrs. Magda from the restaurant for her kindness in serving us, the girls at the reception always with a smile, all the staff of the restaurant and the pool bar. thank you Village Mare !!
