Le Méridien Grand Hotel Nuremberg

Location is opposite the central train station and next to city centre. Hotel has an old vintage flair, if that's your thing. The small room is pretty small but will work for short trips if you don't have a lot of luggage.

Jetzt muss ich meinen Senf auch mal dazugeben. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer gebucht. Einchecken ging sehr schnell - vielleicht sogar zu schnell. Alles schnell schnell und dann wurde mir nichtmal ein guter Aufenthalt o.ä. gewünscht. Normalerweise wäre mir das egal aber nicht in einem 5-Sterne Hotel in dem man sich wohlfühlen sollte. Zimmer wurde niemals gereinigt vor meinem Aufenthalt. Klobrille dreckig, Spiegel dreckig, Fliesen im "Badezimmer" absolut dreckig, Müll nicht komplett ausgeleert. Bettlacken roch ehrlichgesagt auch nicht frisch, genauso wie das Zimmer selbst. Ich glaube vor mir hat eine Bärenfamilie dort drinnen gehaust, musste extra eine Duftkerze besorgen um den Geruch zu bessern. Von der Größe her glich das Zimmer einem Schuhkarton. Türen der Dusche können nichtmal richtig geöffnet werden, da viel zu wenig Platz im Bad ist. Außerdem kann man das Duschen vergessen, da das Konstrukt so alt ist, dass man nichtmal lauwarmes Wasser bekommt. Entweder brühend heiß oder Eiskalt. Fenster sind auch nicht dicht, habe dann ein Handtuch an den Schlitz gelegt, damit es nicht allzu stark hineinzieht über Nacht. Natürlich weiß ich nicht wie die anderen Zimmer sind aber für mich glich der Aufenthalt einem 2 bis MAXIMAL 3-Sterne Hotel. Insgesamt bin ich sehr unzufrieden und diese Nacht war NIEMALS 440€ wert!

The staff at the reception were extremely unpleasant. The next day, my schedule changed, and I simply wanted to know if I could cancel my breakfast, but the reception staff got angry and seemed to be trying to lecture me. He said, "Do you know why your reservation can't be canceled? You can't cancel because you booked through *******, not directly through Marriott," and got angry. Once again, I was simply curious if it was possible. "I still can't understand why that staff got angry with me." I had intentionally booked a 5-star hotel because it was the last stop of my trip, but it turned out to be a bad memory. This was a level of service I had never experienced at other Marriott hotels. There was no help at all with my luggage, and the bathroom was very cramped.

Location not ideal for old town or touring. We did not have a car however.

We were in 7 countries in 30 days. Hotel was the 2nd worst. Dark decor was depressing, the rooms were smallest we had on trip for like priced hotels. The location is good but that is about all the good I can say. Everything else very average.
