Very attractive hostelry full of character. Very friendly and incredibly helpful staff, who went above and beyond to assist and we were made to feel very much at home. Wonderful breakfast, first class. Very comfortable rooms with good facilities, though just slightly tired. We would definitely stay again.

Dear Management, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the treatment my friends and I received at your establishment on May 8th. Despite our excitement to dine at White Hart, our experience was marred by unprofessionalism and disrespect from your staff. Upon arrival, we admittedly did not have a dinner reservation, which was our oversight. However, we initially intended to enjoy drinks before dining. Despite our polite inquiries about ordering drinks, we were met with eye rolls and dismissive behavior from your staff. We were directed to the bar in a manner that lacked any semblance of courtesy. Furthermore, when we inquired about the possibility of dining at your restaurant, we were abruptly told that it was not an option. This response was not only discourteous but also lacked professionalism. Despite the apparent lack of business, as evidenced by numerous empty tables, we were denied service without any valid explanation. Throughout our brief interaction with your staff, we felt unwelcome and unwanted. The recurring eye rolls and insistence for us to leave immediately further reinforced this sentiment. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with basic respect and courtesy, which were clearly absent during our visit. It is deeply concerning that such behavior is tolerated within your establishment. As patrons, we deserve to feel valued and appreciated, regardless of whether we have made a reservation. I sincerely hope that this feedback prompts a reassessment of your staff's conduct and a commitment to ensuring a more welcoming environment for all customers in the future

We waited 30 minutes to place our order then another 60 minutes for a meal to turn up. This was the wrong meal at the wrong time. Food was nice, expensive but nice. The general manager came and offered free puddings. But we would have been there over 2 and a half hours. We gave up. People were leaving because of the lack of service. Just don't go here. Save yourself

Our stay at the White Hart Pub & Rooms was a delightful experience overall. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious, providing a comfortable place to unwind after a long day of exploring the Cotswolds. The serene location, nestled in a quiet area, was exactly what we were hoping for, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the day. While we thoroughly enjoyed our room, one minor drawback was the lack of adequate lighting. It would have been beneficial to have brighter lighting options for reading, working or etc. Moving on to the restaurant, we found the atmosphere to be quiet and inviting. However, we did experience a slight delay in being seated and our server never seemed to be around, which made us wonder if they were understaffed. Despite this initial hiccup, we were impressed by the quality of the food. Although we only ordered appetizers, each dish was flavorful and satisfying.

Short visit but we really enjoyed, I chose this place as it is close to castle combe, you can walk if you are fiscally trained or by car which is less than 5 minutes, the breakfast was very nice, good portion and the whole place is beautiful, see pictures. I forgot an small necklace on my room and they were very nice to contact me. Hopefully I will receive it soon.

Very picturesque & quaint . We were upgraded but I think all the rooms are very nice . Food in the evening was excellent & again at breakfast . Obviously local good produce . Nothing was too much trouble for Josh & his team . Not over expensive either .

Been looking forward to trying the food here for a while! Unfortunately it was a real disappointment. The staff had attitude and was not welcoming at all… We ordered a starters (sharing Camembert), which took 50 minutes to come out. When asking the waiter if it was on the way, we were told “there are 2 other tables in-front of you first?” with no apology or explanation on why it would take so long to serve Camembert. The roast dinner followed shortly after, the beef was lovely but everything else was average with no flavour. Gravy was also really thin and greasy. Such a shame as the pub has such great potential considering the beautiful location!

Fabulous old country inn so a beautiful setting nice decor. Lovely Sunday roasts. Great choice of bites, starters and desserts. Staff friendly and efficient. We booked a late lunch as we were walking from Corsham and unsure how long it would take us following the recent rain fall. We arrived early, with muddy boots and the staff were very pleasant and tried to accommodate despite being really busy. Our Pancetta roast was smashing - tasty, good portion size and competitive price. We regretfully had to leave as we wanted to get back to our cottage before it got too dark. Would certainly go again and could not recommend it more highly.

Had a family roast here today, always enjoyed the food here i did not realise it had been taken over by a new company. unfortunately they were understaffed the meal took quite a while too come out, The beef on all 3 of our plates was inedible, which was evident in that we had all left it. £25 for veggies & gravy( i had the cauliflower cheese which was an extra £4 . I did mention it too the young waitress but she paid no attention. my sister & nans coffees were cold. I wont go back which is a shame.
