The New London Inn

We have stayed at the New London Inn multiple times since last fall. What we like best is the friendliness of the staff. We feel like we are staying with old friends. The rooms are cozy and a few have sloping floors, but the bathrooms are well maintained and clean and the beds are comfortable. We have stayed in 4 different rooms. One of the best parts of staying here is that you get to meet other guests in the common room where tea and coffee are available all day — and oh those delicious cookies!

Warm welcome with delicious cookies, a super-comfortable bed, and a wonderful atmosphere! Love my stays at the New London Inn!! Looking forward to my next stay with my family (including our beloved Labrador Retriever who gets spoiled by the staff!) to celebrate my daughter's college graduation !

Nutshell: Staying here is comfortable, accessible to everything you need and is a calm yet fun atmosphere with pleasing staff. No downside!! My husband and I and another couple stayed here for a long weekend getaway. We stayed in room 20, which is upstairs at the end of the hall. It's quite roomy. There's a nice desk with room to do some work as needed and there's also a little sitting area and two closets. Very comfy king bed with super soft bedding. You can really get a good night's sleep here. It's so quiet at the end of the hall, we just loved it. And the bathroom has a tub. Our friends stayed in room 25, which is at the top of the staircase near the bar and restaurant. It might be less quiet than room 20 but the bar closes at 10 so you'll still have complete quiet at night. Although this room is a little cheaper and smaller, it's a really beautiful room. There's a queen bed with a little seating area and a nice bathroom with a tub. The wood 4 poster bed is just gorgeous. The people are really friendly and welcoming. Everyone! Housekeepers are efficient and easily accessible, front desk staff is always smiling. They have delicious cookies there, along with complimentary water and soda. in the lounge they have tea and coffee readily available and in the mornings they have pastries as well, all complimentary. Wifi is fine, code to get in late night makes it easy to come and go. Restaurant is pretty and pleasant, but we didn't eat there. We did enjoy the bar though. There's a really sweet, local bartender there Wednesdays and Saturdays who makes delicious raspberry drinks! Yum. All of the bar staff are working hard and you'll have so much fun there. Very pleasing atmosphere. From the inn you can easily walk to Dunkin', several cute little shops, Peter Christians (great bar!) and also to Tuckers for the some of the most amazing breakfast food you'll ever eat and I'm not kidding. (Call ahead seating at Tuckers or you'll wait 45-60 minutes to get in there.) Try this place, you won't be sorry.

Beautiful historic Inn with lots of warm and inviting country appeal. Room was very comfortable and the gas fireplace was a nice added feature. Delicious dinner at the Elms restaurant too! Will definitely return in warmer weather to rock on the front porch!

Having left the Manchester, NH airport headed to Burlington, VT on Route 89 north at 3:00 pm I found myself in the midst of a major snowstorm. One that was not predicted to have such strength. Unable to go any farther I took the exit for New London, NH. Knowing it is where Colby-Sawyer College is located I figured there must be a motel around there somewhere. When I came to the sign that said The New London Inn, about 3 miles off of Route 89, I pulled in. Saying that I am certainly glad I did is an understatement! This magnificent Inn is historic and has the ambiance of a bygone era. Beautifully appointed with period furniture, a very welcoming staff, a warm and cozy lounge, it also has a restaurant with first-class food. Additionally, it is located in a quintessential small New England village, which only adds to the charm of the Inn. I love old Inns and the New London Inn is now on my list to return with my wife in the not-too-distant-future.

Great spot! Stopped here un-planned in the middle of a road trip to escape snow. Staff was very welcoming and the inn was very cute. Had extra help shoveling out our car in the morning which was greatly appreciated. Overall a wonderful stay in a cute little town!

Quaint, lovely and comfortable! We had to make an unexpected stop due do a blizzard and we were so fortunate to stay over at this lovely inn. The rooms were perfect. The staff & accommodations (including cookies and coffee) were as well! Will definitely stay here again when i'm in the area!

Took a business trip to the area and decided to stay at something different. You will not be disappointed in a charming historic Inn. Great place, clean, quiet, comfortable. Checked in after hours very easy and great communication. Would suggest to anyone.

I am very pleased with this hotel. Not only was the food great in the restaurant, but the staff was very welcoming and eager to help you with anything. it was great to just relax with family. I suggest definitely going to his hotel at some point.
