Stayed here overnight on a work trip, and what a fabulous place. My room was spacious with a lovely modern bathroom and the shower was great, good water pressure. The room was at the front and I wondered if the road might be noisy, but I slept really well, in the huge comfy bed. Staff were super friendly. Glyn cooks a beautiful breakfast, really lovely, quality bacon, and all nicely cooked and presented. I would definitely stay again. They also support local artists so there are interesting artworks throughout. Highly recommend this place.

Me and my partner were here to attend a wedding that was a short walk from the Castle Inn. The inn is positioned in the centre of Newport, Pembrokeshire, which is a very charming little town. The staff were all very friendly, as were the locals. The room had a lovely view of the countryside that was just peering out from behind some of the houses nearby, and it had everything we needed for a more than comfortable stay. The breakfast was excellent and had plenty of options to choose from. Newport beach is around a 30 minute walk away from the inn and is absolutely stunning too.

We really enjoyed our stay with The Castle Inn! The team were very welcoming to us and our dogs, the rooms were well presented, clean and comfortable.
There is a good selection of local drinks available and the food selection and quality was outstanding!
The little things really stood out too, such as the “Hungry Dawg” menu for the four-legged ones, a well presented beer garden for the warmer months and a beautiful restaurant.
We will definitely be staying here again when we next visit west Wales.

This is a nice hotel, the staff treated us really well particularly with catering for our vegan needs for breakfast. The only issue is the loud road it was hard to sleep through with constant road noise from trucks. Would recommend ear plugs or the hotel providing a fan so you can shut the window.

We stayed for one night when travelling through and found this to be a perfect place to rest and recharge. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the room was clean comfortable with very good facilities. We had a few drinks in the bar and a lovely meal. Fully recommend this for a stay if you are looking for a base on the Pembrokeshire coast !

Great people and quality pub with good beers and food. Room we stayed in was in the attic so was large and great shower. Very quiet so slept well. Can sleep 4 and we had our dog with us and still loads of space. We were B&B and the breakfasts were excellent..the owners are very friendly as all the staff are. Very popualr on sunny evenings as they have a superb beer garden. Stop reading this and just go!

Super, friendly hotel/inn with exceptional food, a warm welcome, reserved parking and spacious rooms. The location is ideal for walking the Pembrokeshire coast path, as the bus stops directly outside and the room was really comfortable after a long day walking. Newport is a lovely spot, and there is an idyllic beach just 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

My wife and I have eaten at the Castle many times over the last 6 years but have never stayed there. We put this right at last and had a most enjoyable experience. Room was extremely comfortable and well appointed with a bathroom to match. The stay included breakfast served by Glyn who always had a friendly smile on his face despite the fact he seems to work 24/7. Well done all the Richards family and thank you for a most enjoyable stay!

We spent a night at The Castle Inn on our way home to London from the Rosslare to Fishguard ferry. The ferry was delayed, meaning we arrived well past the check-in time, but we let our host know in advance and his kindly stayed up to welcome us - which was a huge relief on a wet and windy winter's night. Breakfast was delicious, and our room and shower room comfortable and well-appointed. Top marks!
