Located next to Winchester Cathedral and close to High street, the hotel is quiet and comfortable.

I’ve not visited here for a good few years so decided to give it another shot recently. Plenty of parking, friendly staff on reception. Room was a bit run down but was nice and clean. Food was good in the rant. Only let down was the very poor WiFi and phone reception. Virtually none existent.

We have stayed here many times in the past. The staff are friendly and the service is good. Unfortunately we can no longer stay here because Premier Inn have changed their beds in the disabled rooms. The bed is far too low, which makes it impossible for my husband to get up off the bed. The mattress is also too soft, which doesn’t help him. Premier inn do not seem to be addressing this problem at all and are excluding people who need to do standing transfers from bed to Wheelchair. It is a real shame because the other facilities are excellent. The Wet Room is brilliant and access is very good. They used to make the hotel accessible for all by providing bed raises but no longer do so. They have higher beds in the other bedrooms but won’t move one into the accessible bedrooms. It’s a shame because that would solve this problem – if they had some beds that will low and sunbeds that were high in the wheelchair accessible bedrooms So people could have a choice.

The hotel rooms were excellent and the outside space too very good. Because there's no lounge space the only places to meet with friends were the outside (if weather was OK) and the bar which was packed. The staff were very pressurised and the glasses inappropriate for drinks with no ice or lemon etc. However the staff were very friendly and helpful, despite being over loaded.

Stayed here for one night on a stop over from London to Cornwall. Check in was quick and efficient. Room was clean, tidy and very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good quality, well cooked and plenty of variety. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great, just outside the main town and nice and quiet in the evening/night.

Stayed here as we were going on a cruise from Southampton. Staff and cleanliness was fantastic. However as usual the staff was doing the job of 3 people very unfair.the restaurant was extremely poor. Next time I will be Dining at macdonalds thats how bad it was. You cannot run a restaurant with minimal staff and expect the quality to be adequate. This is no reflection on the staff they worked so hard and always had a smile on their face. Shame on you premier inn!!

We stayed two nights about a week apart on our way to and from the Southampton ferry. Both times we were impressed with the friendliness of the staff, cleanliness of the rooms, location and ease of parking. The first time we stayed, we felt the restaurant was a little farce like with a number of meals not quite being right and staff searching for the right table to deliver desserts to etc. However, on our second night stay we were blown away with the restaurant in a very very busy Sat breakfast session. In particular the duty manager Paula was incredibly impressive - clearing and setting tables to get new tables ready asap, reassuring customers and staff, moving at top speed very calmly, and lots of smiles - nothing was too much for her. We would definitely stay here again.

Great family room. Easy parking and having a restaurant onsite was so nice. Food was lovely with a great selection. Staff were so friendly and proactive in clearing away empty tables asap. Was so impressed with Paula, Michelle & Alex that we will definitely stay again.

Hotel was fantastic. All the staff were helpful and polite. A big thank you to Michelle who helped us out today. It was spotless with a great breakfast. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. Very near to Highclere Castle and plenty of restaurants nearby.
