The property was clean, well maintained. The rooms were quirky and very nice. Staff was great! Friendly and helpful. The breakfast served was pleasant, somewhat healthy and very tasty.

honestly the bathroom is beautiful, but when you start to look around at details in the room you get grossed out. boyfriend and i were itchy the whole time there. not sure if they are really cleaning the way they should be cleaning. no microwave or fridge in room, cracks in bathroom floor and ceilings , noooo good window view. it’s just a brick wall. NOT WORTH THE MONEY I PAID! especially in the area the hotel is located things should be better. elevator felt like i was gonna drop 9floors at any moment. 4/10 i won’t be going back !

Honestly couldn’t reccomend this hotel. It’s dated and has this weird dirty wall paper in the rooms. They charge a 200$ security deposit on top of the rate for the room, as of this moment it’s been over a week since check out and I’m yet to get my deposit back. I called when it had been 4 days and the guy said it takes up to 5 business days. I’ve surpassed that. The staff wasn’t rude but also not inviting at all. When my wife and I returned to retrieve our checked bags I asked to use the restroom and the girl looked at me and said no we don’t have one.. not realizing I was a guest, then the other girl told her to let me use it and that I was a guest. Just all around rubbed me the entire wrong way. I would truly reccomend spending another 100$ and staying at any of the other 3 hotels that are right next door to this place. We usually stay at the Iroquois, 2 hotels away, and couldn’t be happier with our stay there, they were unfortunately completely sold out when I decided to try City Club Hotel. The free breakfast included was sub par, literally no eggs or protein. Only cold cereal and juice and milk. As well as bagels and peanut butter and cream cheese. The breakfast girl was rude. The furniture in the dining area was broken and the area was very tight for people to be in. A guest bumped our table and everything including coffee and juice went flying and spilling everywhere all over us the table and the floor. No staff came and the mess stayed there until we walked out.

The hotel is old and needs an urgent update. Elevators took forever. Please don’t say breakfast is included because that can not be called “breakfast.” Beds were ok but we were 5 and have to ask for shower towels every single day as they just left 3 or 4. There was no closet so we couldn’t hang our clothes. The heat did not work and they brought a portable one the first night assuring us that it would be fox next morning, unfortunately it wasn’t and we spent 5 nights with a portable heater. They never clean the bathroom or change sheets in 5 days. No ventilation at all. Leaking water in the bathroom from the toilet and shower. We couldn’t find the stairs to avoid long waiting for the elevator. The key cars for the room fort never worked and we constantly had to go down to the front desk, wasting more time waiting for the elevator. At the front desk they were nice but very slow. The lady in the cafeteria was rude. In conclusion, a very unpleasant experience.

Just a quick 2 block walk from Grand Central and a block and a half from Times Square. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic and checkout not til noon.

the management team was SO kind!! everyone was accommodating and went the extra mile, very grateful for the stay and will absolutely recommend this hotel to friends/family staying in NYC:)

The staff was great the room was awesome the only thing I didn't like was that there was no ice nor microwave

The check in process was very easy and the staff is very nice. The rooms are clean but just a bit outdated. The area around the hotel is decent, it’s not terrible and it’s in walking distance of everything. I would stay here again.

Worst experience in a hotel. I got bedbugs, ~20 bites all over my arms. I have pictures of the bites, they were all inflamed. I don’t react to insect bites well to begin with, and they were extremely itchy that I had to go to the doctor for additional medication. Not the mention all of the stress and anxiety cause by the whole experience. And now scars all over… I informed the hotel as soon as I realized, but they have ignored my messages and calls. One receptionist even laughed at my situation. Avoid at all cost
