This vacation rental was perfect for our family - 2 seniors, 3 other adults, a 4-year-old and a 20-month old. We rented Unit 3301. The apartment layout was great for everyone (private bath for each bedroom) but especially for the two parents of the two little ones, since the kids shared a bedroom that was just off the living/dining/kitchen area. The beds were very comfortable, with nice linens. While all the bedrooms had closets, only one bedroom had a chest of drawers The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the common areas (small lobby and hallways) were clean. They put out coffee and hot water with a good selection of teas in the lobby. The location was great, too. We walked to the French Quarter, aquarium, French Market, steamboat, and St. Charles streetcar. We rented a car, and we got a great deal on a parking garage a half block away. If we were only adults, we probably wouldn't have needed a vehicle, but we were taking the kids to places like the zoo and City Park that wouldn't have been so easy to get to other than by multiple Ubers. We ended up not using the heated pool and hot tubs, but we checked them out, and they looked very relaxing. Although we were all very happy with this rental, I do have some comments about things that people should be aware of. Like many multi-bedroom rentals in NOLA, not all the bedrooms have windows. In Unit 3301, only one of the four bedrooms had windows. But, being on the third floor, all our other bedrooms had large skylights with electric shades. It was nice to be able to close the shade before going to sleep and open it in the morning. That would not be the case in the first- and second-floor units. Another notable drawback is in the bathrooms. The bathrooms have vanities that are about 32 inches high, with bowl-type sinks that sit on top of the vanity, making the sink rims about 36 inches from the ground. It's basically impossible for a short person to fully lean over that sink to wash your face or brush your teeth. (My daughter and I are both 5' 2". The only photo I've attached shows the top of the sink being nearly at my armpits.) I will say that the adults loved the showers, but none of the bathrooms have a tub for little children. That said, we ended up bathing the 20-month-old in the kitchen, which conveniently has a large "farmhouse" sink. If we were going to NOLA again as a group of this size, we would definitely rent at The Natchez again, and we fully recommend it.
