Historic Mardi Gras Inn

I just wanted to say thank you to the staff and Ms Brackins, for our comfortable, 2 day stay at Historic Mardi Gras Inn arriving Sept 21, 24. It truly is the best value in town, for easy access to the New Orleans French quarter. The property being renovated as we speak. We stayed in one of the cottages, room 1007, that is dated and has not been updated, but cant wait to see the progress. Again thank you and we will see you soon for our next quick trip. Tony and Lee

The last time we stayed here, despite some issues, we were able to make our stay work. True to my word, the next time we were in New Orleans, this is where we stayed. This time, however, we couldn't get out quickly enough. What was originally a 4-star review is now, sadly, a 1. Drug needles, bugs in the bed, a shower that didn't work, roaches on the floor, mice, obvious signs of forced entry (broken door frame and door knob). We really, really wanted to enjoy our stay without any fuss or complications so we tried to make the best of our first night there. When I awoke the next morning to my car, which was parked outside, and discovered someone has stolen my catalytic converter we decided there was nothing the hotel could do to make us want to stay, for the feeling of insecurity and the unsanitary and potentially hazardous conditions, and we cut our trip short. At no point was gated parking mentioned to us as a parking option. We were told quite plainly that we could park anywhere along the street. I only found out about secured parking after reading other reviews. Had we known gated parking was an option, I would have opted for it, my car would not have been vandalized, I would not have to replace an $1835 part, and I would not have been forced to cut my trip short. Because I booked through *******, they acted as an intermediary as I requested a refund for the unused night. The hotel would not issue a refund despite the photographic and video evidence. Bottom line? Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this place.

We stayed in room 31 (outside rooftop) and our room was broken into and all of our belongings where taken. The staff was no help the NOPD was no help and the manager was on maternity leave so no one could review the supposed video footage. Steer clear of this place. I'm almost certain this was a group effort with the help of the staff.

Great place !!!! Awesome staff and caring team. We stayed in the family room and more than of enough space and comfort for all of us. Rooms are clean, staff is always ready to help. Amazing front desk and management team. Definitely will be back and highly recommend to other travelers.

Our room had not been cleaned. There was scum in the bathtub, the kitchen carpet had not been vacuumed (there was actual trash on the floor), and the kitchen sink was out of order. When we checked in, I made it very clear that I did not want to pay for my room with the card used to reserve it and gave the clerk the card I did want to use. I also told him that I was paying for just one room and that our friend staying in the second room was paying for that room. Our friend confirmed this and gave the clerk his credit card. Later that night, despite all this information being exchanged, I discovered that both rooms had been charged to my card used to reserve the rooms! This caused me to be overdrawn on my checking account and meant that I had to pay for everything else on my credit card. We immediately brought this to the attention of the hotel manager, who assured us several times that they would give us a discount for our trouble. After nearly a month and 6 to 8 phone calls--none of which were returned--we were just informed that the owner has decided not to make this right after all. WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN. STEER CLEAR!

Appreciate the confrontable and clean stay we experienced. We have not been back in over a year but wow the Courtyard looks great and the new flooring. lighting and cabinet in our bathroom, nice touch. Very pleased with our rate and the ease of booking through your website. We all know the property is dated, but the value of room cost and steps away from the French Quarter, or from our favorite bar the Phoenix. the value cant be beat. Thank you Tony and Lee from Biloxi They have changed the property name to Historic Mardi Gras Inn, there is no longer a breakfast provided as some older Sites indicate.

We stayed at the Old Town inn for about a week it was very friendly the staff was very courteous and helpful the rooms were clean the outside was clean the managers were also great especially Jasmine she was very very helpful very courteous and did everything I had asked for it was a great experience I had the best time and made a few new friends it's very homely community like atmosphere you would not go wrong staying at the Old Town and it is in a very convenient spot close to all the sites the quarters is less than a mile away and stores all over you can go to I had a wonderful experience

Ms B at the front desk was amazing always super friendly, nice and helpful!!! Was nice to he greeted with a warm smile !! The rooms were clean and tidy very nice and quiet area as well plenty to do locals are very friendly as well.

Great location in walking distance to everything, but still peaceful. The staff is amazing and attentive to any requests. Comfy, serene courtyard for lounging outside also. Definitely staying again!!!
