The downstairs bedroom is well-separated and sound-insulated, with its own en-suite full bath. A ½-bath downstairs serves common area guests and another ½-bath serves the garden courtyard with covered patio, five-burner outdoor grill/wetbar, pool, jacuzzi, gas firepit, and lounge and bistro seating. Back inside, the butterfly staircase leads to 12-foot ceilings upstairs, a reading nook with coffee/tea station, and desk space with ultra high-speed internet. Four bedrooms on the upper floor (and the bedroom downstairs as well) are adorned with jacquard-sateen comforters, 800 thread-count sheets, and featherbed toppers over firm mattresses creating sleeping comfort our guests refer to as “the cocoon.” The upstairs bedrooms all have direct access to full, oversized bathrooms. Architecturally-unique 10-foot bottom-slide windows from two of the bedrooms open to the full-width balcony, where you can sip your mint julep shaded by a 100-year-old Oak tree.
