The Singh Empire,New Delhi City Centre

Me and 2 friends stayed here for a couple of nights whilst hoping to arrange a trip around Rajasthan. Ranjanar, the hotel manager took the stress away and arranged our 6 night tour of Rajasthan for us with driver and decent hotels, and couldn’t have asked for better service. The staff were friendly and polite. We walked to Connaught place and it is 5 mins from the train station, ideally located. Thanks Ranjanar for everything, the Rajasthan trip was great!

Would give 0 star if zhere was an option to do so. We booked 3 rooms for 1 night on our way back from a trip to Ma Vaishnav Devi. Train was meant to reach Delhi at 11pm, and looking at some positive reviews and the photos of the hotel, I thought it was a good hotel close to the station to spend the night. Unfortunately I did not realise that the photos are so misleading. The hotel manager texted me at around 4 pm asking if we were still coming. This is despite mentioning clearly during booking that checkin will be late between 11-12pm. Anyways requested him to keep our rooms ready. We were 8 people in total including elderly parents and 3 children and lot of luggage. I asked the hotel manager if he could send a taxi to the station for pick up and I was told it will cost Rs500. The hotel is literally across the road from the station entrance and would take 2-3 min by car. We arranged our own transport which was much cheaper. When we arrived at the hotel at midnight, we were all tired and wanted to have a good night's rest but realised that the rooms were horrible. The manager first took the payment and then told us that he will show us the rooms available. There was 1 double room on the ground floor which was tiny. Other than the bed, there was nothing in the room. No place to keep luggage and no place to walk. The other available rooms were on 2nd and 3rd floor. Although there was a lift, you need to first go down 6-7 steps and climb up 6-7 steps to get to these rooms.no railing on these steps and very difficult for my elderly parents to climb these and also unsafe for toddlers. Rooms on 2nd and 3rd floors were equally pathetic. Small rooms with twin single bed in 1 and twin double bed in another 2 rooms. No windows. No table or chair. No place to keep luggage. Barely enough place for 1 person to walk around the beds to get to the toilets. Toilets itself were dirty. Towels looked grey as if they have been used for last 10 years or more. Toilet seat broken. Floor of the room and the walls were dirty. Pillow covers had stains . We didnt have an option but to take 3 of these rooms. If i had seen the rooms before making the payment, i would have gone to another hotel. They did not provide drinking water and said some ridiculous price for 2 bottles of mineral water. Finally we just went out and got water from one of the shops. There was also no night light or table lamp in the room that we could keep on in the night as the place seemed creepy and my children were scared. I will never stay here again or recommend this to anyone.

Always good service and helpful staff. This time we just stayed over the day between flight and train. Very good location if you travel to/from NDLS train station.

We booked Empire Platinum Suites for our first four nights in Delhi and on arrival were moved next door to the Singh Empire due to building work. No hassle, no drama, no problem. Staff were friendly and a welcome sight after a long journey and the hectic traffic at 2am from the airport. Our room wasn't quite as described (due to the hotel move) so when we mentioned this the next day, staff quickly offered us a room similar to the booking. We could see they were very busy and trying to accommodate us. On our second day it was our wedding anniversary and staff very willingly and kindly decorated our room for us. The hotel is a three minute walk to New Delhi Station and the street outside is wonderfully busy 247. The location is great. We DID feel safe walking on the main street, probably the side streets too if we had. Tuc tucs are cheap and everywhere. The real sights, sounds and smells of Delhi hit you every time you open the hotel door (but surely that's what you came to Delhi for?) A true, safe and affordable first experience of India's bustling capital.

Rooms comfortable ac worked well clean all staff was very friendly and helpful set in busy location but staff answered any questions and gave advice food was good and readily available cool drinks available booked a trip with travel centre and airport transfers drivers friendly and punctual

Good hotel, very nice Staff, accommodating and helpful. Especially Rajib who was always there when we needed him, performed cleaning to the highest standard, very proactive, friendly, talkactive and polite. Hotel situated nearby railway, which is a plus. Breakfasts greasy for me, yet variety was a plus.
