Deco are very shabby, hygiene is a disaster specially you can see dirts on bedsheet and blankets, don’t even mention other facilities.
Bear in mind that you are spending a 5 star hotel room rate but live in a guesthouse standard “hotel”. 🙄

The Ashok is a far cry from a great hotel. This is a 3 star hotel at best requiring a bottom of the barrel 5 star price. The internet is the worst I have ever seen. You constantly get kicked and have to call for a new password - Think 1 MBPS. The shower I had leaks water all over the floor that the floor in the bedroom was lifting up. Both lamps by the bed were broken. You couldn't turn off the bathroom mirror lights. The gym doesnt open until 0600 so if you have jet lag; you will have to take a walk.
Now, the food.. The food I ordered was great. Not a concern and the price is great for the food. The breakfast starts at 7 or 7 30 so, don't think you can schedule your first meeting at 8. The coffee is also instant coffee and if you are like me, you are not waiting around for someone to take your coffee order - you just get up and get it yourself. The coffee was terrible; don't expect an espresso or cappuccino on your holiday for breakfast.
All in all, I would really take your chances somewhere else. You do not need to experience this hotel; it just isn't worth it.

This hotel was recommended to me by a friend, Well spend some extra dollars and get a better place to stay.
The Hotel room was spacious but most of the things in the room were not in good condition (e.g. door handles, doors and more).
In the evening, We went to have snack at 'The Samavar' and had a terrible experience as we were served unhygienic food (found hair). It's the same place where "The Ashok" was planning to provide me the pre-paid Breakfast/Dinner. So I decided to notify the reception and requested for an alternative options for Breakfast/Dinner. Though I was able to get the alternative option for Breakfast/Dinner but the initial response from reception and the duty ***ager was not accommodative at all. They almost meant, I would have to go back to the same place and eat the unhygienic Breakfast/Dinner.

This is a very historic and elegant structure with a lot of great artwork. It is centrally located and convenient. Unfortunately, the standards of service are low. The coffee shop at breakfast time is chaotic, unclean and poorly ***aged. Room service did not occur. The internet is erratic and slow. Perhaps a more competent approach to ***agement would help.

I book two rooms and my mother was travelling with us And she is 90 years old.
We received only one room. They said they are trying to get me second room.
And inform me but I never received a call.
I slept on smaller sofa all.
We don’t eat even Breakfast and left.
Who I can blame ******* or Hotel ***agement

The worst hotel experience in India.
Wait check-in over a hour even though it was 6P.M., unstable wi-fi, very long distance from room to reception & restaurant, malfunction of room key everyday, no souldproof... These are the experineces I had from the hotel for 3 nights. I do not recommend this hotel to my family & friends.

Horrible breakfast buffet. The spread is very limited and not much options. Even the dishes they serve are below average. Moreover, the service during breakfast was also bad.

The property seems nice and grand, however it's is not what is used to be I was told. Probably 3-4star. Some rooms are very old and not kept up properly. Some rooms are better. The bathrooms are not kept up too well in the older rooms. And the newer ones are ok. The housekeeping staff and floor ***agers are nice , but some of the front desk staff are not so helpful. I think I was given a bad room at first and then the lobby ***ager was nice enough to upgrade me and the same front desk guy tried to deny me the upgrade. Also they made the mistake of not taking a deposit for extras and I had issues with room service and having to pay immediately on delivery with cash or online. If I can pay that amount of money for the room why would I ditch on paying a simple food bill. Fault of the front desk staff which led to a uneasy situation with friends.
