We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay at the Park Hyatt St. Kitts in late May. We really appreciated the attentiveness of the staff along with the laid-back vibe and tranquil setting. The resort is beautiful, with tropical flowers and lush foliage surrounding multiple buildings (none taller than three stories) that house the guest rooms, dining areas, and other facilities on Banana Bay. Pictures from the website/internet don’t do it justice—the grounds are more beautiful in person, and the view of Nevis is stunning. The weather was unusually hot throughout the Caribbean the week of our stay, so the resort’s uncrowded pools were a welcome relief from the heat. The lagoon pool is huge and the views are amazing. We loved swimming up to the pool’s edge and gazing at the turquoise ocean and neighboring Nevis. Contrary to a few other reviews we had seen, we found the pool temperatures to be perfect. One thing we noticed is that the resort, even when seemingly full, is not crowded. There were no worries about getting a good spot at the beach or an umbrella or chair at the pool, and we really enjoyed the low-key atmosphere throughout the resort. Another thing we noticed is that the staff are incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. Everyone we met—from the staff at the restaurants and pool bar, to the recreation hut, to housekeeping, security, maintenance, concierge, front desk, and more—were simply wonderful! The food and service at both the Great House and Fisherman’s Village were outstanding, and the breakfast buffet at the Great House was probably the best we’ve had. There was a large and interesting selection of different dishes, some of which changed daily. We also enjoyed “Lime en Blanc”—a wonderful dinner buffet that's offered at Fisherman’s Village on Saturday evenings. It was a great way to start our vacation! The food at the Rampart Pool Bar was also very good, especially the fish tacos and pizza—good-sized portions, too. The smoothies at Fane's by the beach were also great! We highly recommend taking advantage of the resort’s complimentary activities (guests receive a weekly activity sheet upon arrival; we stopped by the concierge desk to sign up ahead of the events). We loved all of the water activities and really enjoyed the mixology session and cooking demonstration, as well as the rum tasting. We had planned to go to Nevis for a day trip and also check out some of the establishments at nearby Cockleshell Bay, but we never got around to it; however, we had no regrets because we enjoyed just relaxing at the resort, which was just what we needed after a very busy few weeks leading up to our vacation. Our ocean-view suite was spacious and comfortable and overlooked a quiet stretch of beach near the far-end of the property. While it was too rocky to go into the water at this part of the beach, it was lovely just resting in a lounge chair and taking in the scenery. The water closer to the pier by Fisherman’s Village was warm, clear, and
