Special handwritten instructions on how to flush the toilet the bathroom sink would not drain unless you pump the plunger a few times the reclining chair did not have a handle to make it recline

Just passing through in early July 2023. Good price. Easy check in/out & location is on the way through town. Fast food and convenience store in easy walking distance. A few other things nearby. Room was clean and looked updated. Everything worked. Would stay again.

Our door was not locking properly but they fixed it right away. Wonderful motel with cute rustic decor. Room 11 could use a bedside lamp. This was our 2nd stay. We enjoyed the character of each different room.

The property was older which contributed to the uncleanliness factor (years of grime), but, despite the age, the rooms were clean. For the price, I thought my stay was satisfactory.

Great motel. Clean with very cute rustic decor. Room had fridge, microwave, air conditioning and 2 ceiling fans. One level so you don't have to carry luggage upstairs. Will be staying again.

Quaint little motel. Family owned. Room was clean, updated. Had a nice talk with owner Randy about the history of the town and area of the hotel.

This motel is reminiscent of the roadside motel of yesteryear. The desk clerk was friendly, and the check-in was easy. Beds were comfortable, and the room was cozy. The A/C was a window unit, and this was sufficient. It appeared that the motel might be undergoing a bit of a renovation when we stayed there. This was a far better choice for our family of four than paying more than double the price to stay in Alamosa. Convenient to downtown Monte Vista. We walked to the Don Tomas Bakery for breakfast.

The room was surprisingly comfortable for the price. Notably, the bed was able to satisfy someone who likes a firmer bed and someone who likes a softer bed.
While there isn't much in Monte Vista, the location was overall convenient - right across from the Dairy Queen and near important offices in town.
The hours for the front office were not perfect, but they at least had ways to handle late arrivals and early departures.
Overall, it hits the right notes. Enough convenience and comfort for the price or even slightly more. Well worth the money.
