We spent our honeymoon at lagoon attitude in November ‘24 On arrival we straight away felt welcomed to the lagoon attitude family. We were given a cold towel and a sweet drink. A welcome treat after our long journey. We were offered a room ( off reception) to shower, freshen up and get changed, and a room to store our bags in until our room was ready (at 2pm) Right from our first walk into the main part of the hotel we noticed how clean and well ordered everywhere was. While we waited for our room we took a swing seat at the bar nicely situated between the main pool ( one of three) and the beach. And enjoyed our first cocktail of the day ( something new to try each day) and enjoyed the views over the beautiful turquoise sea through the palm trees. When we were taken to our room I have to say we were slightly disappointed. We were booked on the “honeymoon package” and had booked a walk up ( from the beach ) room. We were on the first floor ( overlooking part of the beach next to the boathouse) in what was a very standard room, not exactly a honeymoon suite? There was “congratulations “ spelt out in leaves on the bed. We had been told we got a beach bag as part of the package ( so didn’t pack one) it was a small cotton tote bag. And there was a tin of black tea that had been opened( we didn’t use and left as obviously previous guests had. We were offered a different room below but rather than walk up from the beach it was on the path and not very private so we decided to stay in the original one. Whilst still in the room I have to say we found the bed uncomfortable and the bedding was poor quality there was a mattress protector on and the duvet was heavier than the winter one we have at home( in England!) so the bed was very warm. The pillows were very old and poor condition. It was a bit of a let down for our special holiday. Having said all that the rest of our stay was amazing the staff were all so friendly polite and respectful. The food was amazing! Shout out to all the chefs ! We are in the main restaurant breakfast had lots of choices, lunch was great weather we had missed breakfast or needed an early meal. And the evening buffet was wonderful every night with so many options. We didn’t have anything we didn’t like. We also tried the lemon grass ( Asian fusion) the coral ( premium ) and the street food area beyond the boathouse. I am gluten free and found there was always plenty of choices for me. We would like to give a couple of special shoutouts to staff members who made our honeymoon special and memorable…..Reena in Benitier who had “eyes on” at all times making sure we never had an empty glass be it wine or rum !! finding us a lovely table, making sure I had plenty of gluten free options and general hospitality was second to none. Her colleague Akhilesh also worked in the Benitier and he too helped to make our experience so memorable and both are a credit to the Hotel. We couldn’t fault any of the staff the cleaners were immacu
