We had the best two weeks on our holiday at Club Med Albion. I will use the categories from the reviews to make sure I give full credit to all the different aspects of this incredible resort and the people who made our holiday the best ever. Rooms. We opted for a sea view suite interconnecting with a double where our kids (12 and 15) stayed. The rooms are very attractive, with high ceilings and smooth dark wooden floors, comfortable furniture and most importantly, floor to ceiling glass doors opening right onto the beach and providing a spectacular view. The bathrooms are generous, and also featured an outdoor shower, which we used a lot. We were served brilliantly by the staff daily, making the rooms spotless for us every day, and leaving little ferrero rocher chocolates on the bed as part of the turn down is a nice touch. Cleanliness. Whether in the rooms or around the resort, the staff work continuously to ensure that everything is clean and welcoming. Tables are cleared very quickly, all public areas are continuously cleaned, and the beaches and grounds are attended by gardeners and other workers to make sure all areas are attractive and tidy. Service. Club Med promises to be truly ALL inclusive, and it is the staff which makes good on the promise. The service was impeccable, without exception. Some call outs: Man delivered over and above for the daily aqua aerobics exercise in the pool. Nitish and the entire bar team was friendly and service was prompt and excellent. Ashley and the water sports took us snorkelling on the Albion reef several times, teaching us about the reef and the local species of fish. Vic is the resident golf pro at Club Med Albion and his style reflects his mantra: "Nice and easy". I was lucky to play two rounds of golf with Vic at Tamarina, an excellent near by golf course. My wife and kids loved Teo's yoga classes, and our eldest spent several mornings and afternoons with the incredible circus trapeze, where she learned the knee-hang and straddle whip catches. Shout outs to Coco, Opik, Sven and the entire circus team. The nightly extravaganza of shows and dancing were a big favourite of our kids, who spent every evening on the dance floor, with staff leading the charge, and making sure everyone had a great time. The July 14 Bastille Day party in particular was incredible. Location. Before going to Mauritius, we were getting a little worried about the weather. The weather forecasts (as shown on my iphone) were pretty gloomy, showing weeks on end of high winds and rain, and fairly low temperatures. The local reality could not have been any different. Albion is on the south west side of Mauritius and benefits from a sunnier micro climate. We had blue skies every day, with less than a handful of brief showers throughout the two weeks we were there. The local area is very beautiful, and although we didn't spend a lot of time touring the island, we felt like we were in the best place for a relaxing sun and sea holida
