Wonderful Stay and Excellent Service! Kumar Resort Matheran provided a fantastic experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was incredibly attentive, and the food was delicious. The serene surroundings made for a perfect getaway. Highly recommend! Perfect Family Vacation Spot! We had an amazing time at Kumar Resort Matheran. The amenities were top-notch, and there were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!

The booking experience was Honest and Perfectly guided by Ms Vandana Khatwani and we had booked more than a month in advance and we had paid advance as well and when we reached on the check in date we GOT WHAT WAS PROMISED right till our check out. The food AND the variety AND the quality AND the service ALL JUST SUPERB. SPECIAL MENTION of Hemant who was incharge of the buffet. Next time we will SURELY opt for KUMAR PLAZA and will SURELY RECOMMEND the same to all.

I had booked room through Vandana khatwani... She offered a good package.. Beautiful location to spend time with your family.. close to market... Room was comfortable n clean.. Buffet was delicious with variety of options... staff were attentive and efficient... Lots of entertainments for kids and adults... Reasonably priced.. will definitely visit again. The ac premium rooms with bathtub are awesome..they maintain cleanliness & hygiene everywhere ..which I would appreciate..the Chinese food was awesome & breakfast was also very tasty .. service her is also very good ..I was here to celebrate my husbands birthday…they have done all the management well as I wanted the room decor , candle light setup , cake everything was nice .Keeping everything in mind …We are looking forward to visit again …😄

Overall hospitality was so good. One should prefer Hotel Kumar Plaza with their family if they visit Matheran. The hotel provide very good food in breakfirst, lunch and dinner. I will give 5 star rating to this hotel for their gudance right from deprting from home till reaching home. The location of the hotel is very convenient from the view point of market place and reachability. Their rates are also reasonable.

Calm, peaceful and tranquil environment: The hotel is above expectation Friendly, accommodating staff, willing to help with a smile. Facilities, swimming pool were excellent and good looking rooms. There was a manager that helped to serve us during the set lunch , he was very helpful and polite

Last year after our children's exams got over, we went to Matheran for 1 day. There we chose Kumar Plaza over Horseland because of good rooms. In the evening, at Housie game, among other amusements, we won Weekdays Stay discounted coupon vouchers expiring March 31, '24. This year our children's exams went beyond 6th April but Thanks to the staff at Kumar Plaza they agreed to redeem the coupons for a stay before 10th April. So we went there for a 2 days stay. My children just could not ask for more and plunged in the pool the whole time. With facilities equal to many other hotels in Matheran, Kumar Plaza I would say is a pleasant stay at affordable rates. Good, clean AC rooms with different amenities and a helpful and good staff. And not to forget the good food served 3 times with 2 time Hi Tea. They definitely have good chefs here. One can also enjoy different amusements at the hotel or just wander in the outside market. Positives: - In the market location( just 5-7 min walk from Matheran station) - Affordable good and clean rooms with facilities equal to other hotels'. - Good food. - Good helpful staff. Negatives: - Some improvement required in amenities terms. - Last year wheels of sofa cum bed was broken. This year some lights (profile lights, etc.) and switches didn't work. Overall a nice and pleasant stay at Kumar Plaza.
