Holiday Inn Express Washington DC East-Andrews AFB

The staff was very unhelpful and rude. I spoke with a nice man on the phone before we arrived, but he was not there when we arrived. The two women working the front desk were horribly rude. The room was very rundown and falling apart. Literally paint, peeling off the walls in big patches. The toilet barely flushed and the door was locked and we couldn’t enter back into our room after we had gone out to get some dinner. It took half an hour for someone to let us back into our room. Unhelpful when we asked them questions about the area and information about the city also. Breakfast was barely edible. Pancakes were so hard you couldn’t cut through them and there wasn’t enough food when we came out to eat. We had to wait a while for more to be brought out. would NEVER waste money staying here again.

Nice hotel close to metro station. Made traveling into DC very easy. Room was in good condition. Only inconvenience was back parking lot keycard to open the door was broken. If I return to DC again and choose to stay somewhere outside downtown area. I would definitely consider this hotel again.

I love this hotel. It is so close to Branch Avenue Metro Station. Just 20 minutes by subway green line from the station to D.C Smithsonian museums. This hotel is the perfect place to travel to DC and to come back and rest. Free parking, free breakfast, neat room, swimming pool, fitness center, powerful A/C, microwave in the room. How can I ask more? It is the best hotel I could get within a $150 budget around DC. I once tried an Inn near Roslynn metro station in Virginia and it was awful though it was a similar price. This hotel won't disappoint you. I am so satisfied with this stay. I will always consider Holiday Inn first from now on when choosing a hotel.

Good free breakfast items. Clean, but the room is a little cramped for my double-bed room. Bathroom is large and in good condition. The power outlet on the base of the lamp on the nightstand next to the bed is too loose inside that it does not connect well with my charger. 5th floor ice machine under repair. Same for 4th and 3rd floors. Overall, it was a good stay.

The facility was fine. I was somewhat disappointed that my room was not ready until almost 5pm. Thankfully I was traveling with other family and their room was ready so I could hang out in their room. It did make us later to depart for our event. One other negative. One of the staff members at breakfast was rude to several folks. I realize its a busy area, however the rest of the staff were amazing.

The carpet did not look clean. The office chair was old and tattered. The bed was clean. The clerk at the night desk was not welcoming. The young gentleman on the day shift was very friendly. He peovided great customer service. Breakfast was ok.

For about 6 years I have been staying at this place every time I come to see my in laws. The location is perfect, the rooms are comfortable, there is a pool (I have not used), breakfast is good, and I come at least two times a year with my husband and child. This time, everything went well except for breakfast on Sunday, mother's day, May 12, 2024. My toddler was sleeping and I went to make a plate for her and my husband since he was in the room with her. I had 2 plates. The lady who was working the breakfast area comes up to me and says "You can only have two plates, and you can only take 2 sausage patties per plate and you are not allowed to take to the room". I explained to her my toddler was sleeping and her father was there watching her. She stated "there will be a fee because food is not allowed". This was a shocker to me because I have done this before. Also I did not know there was a limit on how much food I can take. I took 3 patties on one plate and 1 on the other plate. Can someone tell me if there is a limit on how much food? Also, since when am I not allow to eat in the room? Sounds crazy, but she did not tell anyone else who was staying in the eating area about the limit on how much food to take.....

Room was clean, outdoor pool was closed in May, breakfast was adequate. Front desk staff were friendly.

We had a wonderful trip. Everyone was so nice! When we first got to the hotel early Theresa was so very personable and helpful in getting us to the metro station quickly. When we arrived back she greeted us with a big smile and made us feel so welcome. We checked in with De’aja and she made us feel right at home. Asked us about our day, about any plans we had for the week and gave us helpful tips toward our plans. When you’ve got 2 great staff members like that, you got a recipe for success!
